Thanks again to all of you for your support.

Just saw my car in bits. Not a nice view. Luckily no relevant chassis part has been bent, I just checked it with my dad. The left front holm which holds the front wing has already been reshaped, bonnet aswell. Now waiting for all the parts as in Switzerland no TME spoiler lip is available. Hub, wheel carrier and so on is already on the way as is the new front wheel and IC. Next thing we'll do is to check both front dampers on a suspension dyno to check if they're still ok.

I still feel bad as I had Rallyman with me and he could have been hurt. Again all my apologies for playing Tomi in the rain.

At least until we crashed the car with the new suspension was gobsmacking.

Cheers

Mike

Scoobymike,

You don't have to appologise anymore about the events last Saturday.

Even though you care a lot for your car (we all do!) I really appreciate that from the first moment after the shunt you showed more concern about my health than the damage on your vehicle.

I hope to see it back on the road again soon.

Regards,
Rallyman (not a frequent visitor to lancerforums)

Should have bought a Porsche....

Engine will be taken apart tomorrow. Had a klunk-klunk sound comming from the engine after 3 laps on the Ring. It is probably going to be expensive............

Could be a bearing. What happened was that my turbo had come loose from the manifold. In the last corner on the Ring boost suddenly fell from 1.3 to nothing. One of the four bolts was missing and three were loose. I did smell exhaust gasses afer the first laps that day but couldnt see anything (bloody heat shield! SO check your bolts!!).

Talked to experts, and nobody really knows if the two problems are related.

A well, I can park the car in my garage without an engine and polish it once in a while!!! Like our UK friends.

Spare enigenes? Where? How much?

Happened to me as well, turbo getting loose from manifold. I think it has something to do with driving at the RING full speed. Lucky for me my dealer saw it on time.

I don't have local experts that can help me out, only freaking idiots not knowing what track-driving is all about I'm moving South I guess, over there the weather is nice, more tracks to drive on and more experienced mechanics...

Just back from my little hols. Scooby, Scooby, sounds like you were lucky and senor rallyman too. It's never a nice thing to see your car in bits, I know the feeling. But you also found out how driveable the Evo is on three wheels, as I did with my flat tire, but with me it was only the rear. Well, well, what did this teach you? Don't go to fast
