???Alarm help???

So I've heard this is possible but I need help please. I have a viper 5901 installed everything works just fine. I do not have the remote start on it tho. No need. I have a GReddy Turbo Timer installed in my evo as well. As it stands right now my car cools off for 10 seconds then turns off and I am able to arm my evo. But I heard if I add a resistor somewhere I can trick my alarm into believe its off while its still running. I am wanting to arm my vehicle while its running. Reason being is that when I drive to the store and park I do not want to wait 10 seconds to arm it nor do I want to just turn it off. I just want to be able to park get out and arm it. While its "cooling off" arm it. Then when it fully turns off for it to stay armed. If anyone know how to do this it would be much appreciated if you shared your knowledge. I do not want to use the vipers turbo timer thats built in. I had the GReddy before the viper and do not want to take it out. Thanks you guys.

honestly a 10 second "cooldown" is completely useless. driving out of boost for 2-3 minutes before you park will cool down the car much more than letting it run for 10 seconds stationary

I had a Greddy TT in my evo but I took it out after I installed my alarm since it had one built in.

Why don't you just use the built in turbo timer?

On my previous alarm I used a relay. The relay will interrupt the ignition wire on the alarm as soon as the turbo timer is activated.

You need a relay. Cut the main ignition wire in half, you now have a "car side" and a "key side".
Your turbo timer needs to be interfaced with the "car side" and your alarms heavy guage pink ignition wire needs to be interfaced into the "key side". Then install the relay as follows; 85- Ground, 86-"Key side", 30- "Car side", and 87- Heavy guage 12v wire in the ignition harness.

This allows the key and remote start to power the ignition through the relay, but when the key and remote start is off the relay opens and seperates the alarm's ignition wire from the car which is still getting powered by the turbo timer.

OR....

You just tie the alarms 12V switched wire (red), to an accessory wire that loses power when the turbo timer is active. There are a couple in the ignition harness, or you can tie it to the radio power wire.

BTW, OP. Don't double post your question in multiple forums.

Unfortunately this won't work as the ignition sense wire is also the ignition output for the remote start. Stick with the info I posted above and you'll be golden.

The Viper 5901 12v switched accessory wire is orange off the heavy gauge harness, this wire would have no play on allowing the OP to arm the vehicle while the Greddy TT is counting down. This wire is only to power up the accessories in the vehicle upon remote start.

The red wire on the main 12 pin harness on the 5901 is a constant 12v wire. There is also a red wire on the heavy gauge harness, but that is for remote start purposes. For aftermarket stereos and what not, red is commonly used as an switched accessory wire.

On DEI alarms/remote start systems, the Pink wire off the heavy gauge wire supplies power to the ignition for remote start and is also the ignition sense wire.
This is the wire that would want to be interrupted.
