A pretty stock IX on e85

E85
Stock IX turbo (no porting, absolutely 100% how it came from Mitsu)
stock intake manifold
stock throttle body
stock bottom end
Tuned on the Stock ECU
Ebay O2 housing
RC1000cc injectors
GSC S2 cams
Valvesprings/retainers
3" TBE
ETS 4" FMIC
ETS LP2 LICP
Trust UICP
1-255 fuel pump
MAFT Pro in Speed Density
Buschur Intake pipe with off the shelf 10" K&N

All pretty basic stuff really. I never did dyno the car on E85 when I had the Green on it, but I was helping with some testing of lower intercooler pipes and put the car on with just a stock IX turbo. The .drf doesnt have the weatherstation data but it was mid 50s with low humidity. Believe it or not this is a fairly soft tune, it was still a little rich (10.6 vs the 12.0 I prefer).

Boost on this run was 27.7 tapering to 22 by redline. Not bad for a daily driven setup thats only a 1.47 a gallon

I took the Green off the day before the dyno test, still had the 1600s in it (dropped back down to 1000s now), and was having some issues with the MSD. We decided to just use it as it was. I have since retuned it and it feels better..especially since I added another 3psi to the mix. 365 ft lbs isnt enough to have too much fun with it seems. I dont think I gained too much power, maybe 10 hp, but the torque is up 20-30 ft lbs.

Did you have the boost ramp up throughout the pull? The car seems soft down low but comes alive in the mid to top end. The graph looks really good..

Some of its the cams and yes I had the boost set to creep a little. Being a little rich will kill torque and while the timing was good I could have cranked it up. When I get a chance I will throw it back on and see what I can make it do.

I was looking to beat my old setup on gasoline that one of my friends had bought off me...S1s, gas, and a Green. He made 408whp on pumpgas at 29.9psi. Other than the cams I had everything he did and had been on E85 for the last 6 months

The 1600s were not really working. On the 1000s now, the IDC are about 79-80% at 31psi. Stock turbo on E85 is pretty easy to keep happy.

I like this set up and it shows that the stock IX can hold its own when running the right supporting parts. It might just save me some money over the long run by building around the turbo and stage any future purchases.

Always build to a specific goal. Only buy parts that can be used in that goal if you arent yet able to get to the goal 100%. Otherwise you end up buying things twice, possibly paying for the install twice, and then sell at a loss.

I hope I helped you save enough to make it crazy

Nice #'s and cool to see you using that MAFT like you mentioned to me in the other thread

I know this doesn't account for much but babbling but a similar set-up car on our MD puts down 350 hp.

No thats not babbling at all. It helps me see what my 2.2 GT40 should do compared to a dyno that I am already used to.
