Ya, can't wait to see how it performs now. hopefully the 93 octant tune will be a beast also.
Thanks for the link! The car looks great and the engine bay is just beautiful .

BTW, that's a interesting mini-battery setup you got there. Any reason why is it facing sideways like that?

Ya i've been watching that thread. great setup you got there. i wanted to go with the 82 because i wanted quickest spool possible(yours did spool awfully quick though). i didn't think i would need anymore power up top that the 82 could not provide. i want to be able to take it to the road course to play a few times over the summer. last year i raced my kart all spring-summer-fall. i have a Vampire 250cc four stroke tag motor on an Azzurro chassis and a Oral four stroke tag motor on a Tony Kart. There's nothing like pulling 3 to 4 g's in the corners, and the competition of wheel to wheel racing.

i plan to also do some drag racing, too. When i lived in Vegas, i used to drag race almost every weekend in one of my other cars.

Thanks. I'm not sure why , but i do know they made a custom bracket for the battery and the ignition box to be mounted that way. will ask Tym next time i talk to him.

I just got back from the 12 hour drive(6hrs each way) to pick up the car. the car is insanely fast on the street! throttle response with the race gas tune is excellent. putting around, the car ran flawless. when you crack the throttle wide open, ......speechless.

i was never into Evo's until recently, when i wanted a new dd. i was always had american muscle torque monsters. after the first test drive i took in an evo, i realized what all the hype was about. pretty much the best bang for the buck sports car you can buy. the best part is you can drive it no matter what the weather outside is.

yea, the car sounds like alot of fun!

Ive been thinking about trying to get my car on Tym's dyno sometime and see how it compares to buschurs, I know theyve tested quite a few of their cars over there, but id like to have the 600+ number on pump gas. lol just a thing to shut some of my friends up. haha

I would also like to road race, the only downfall is the cost and risk. I can afford $20 for the dragstrip much easier than $100+ for the road course.

Ya, get your car over to tym's. i see all the great #'s the Buscher's cars make. would be nice to see apples to apples comparisons. would like to see the difference in power curve. Why are you only shooting for mid 6's on buschers dyno on race gas(say you post on another thread)? Road racing is a blast. you have to try it at least once.

I told Tym that i guessed i would dyno 750 on race gas. i was exactly right.

lol nice guess.

My old numbers were 540 on pump 604 on race
So new possibly: 576 on the pump 650 on race

just comparing them it seems about right, but who knows. i know the 600 was good for 9.89 with more weight in the car, so 650 and less weight i should be capable of 9.5

dave is putting down 684 and should hit 8s, so a 9.4-9.6 full street car sounds pretty good for me. lol i guess we will se what it puts down when we dyno it.

I know dave has tested a couple of the cars on theirs and tyms dyno i cant remember the exact numbers but off the top of my head, I think it should be enough to kick mine over 700 hp.

ya, i was laughing too when he told me what it put down.

i saw that you are running an exedy triple in your car now. that is the clutch i have. what clutch did you run before when you ran 9's?

i can't wait till the tracks here open to see what kind of times i can lay down.

i had an exedy triple the whole time. i just had the hydraulic push conversion kit installed. i broke the pos $.50 clip off the tob at the shootout last year and got plssed when i was in cleveland till 2am pulling the tranny to drive it home.

so i ordered the conversion kit and bought a trailer. tis year i dont have to worry about the clip, even if i no lift it, and if something happens again, on the trailer and home we go. lol

How much boost was this? I may have missed it but it seems like the 35HTA was being whipped pretty hard

wow awesome power, congrats.

I was just looking at your dyno and notived you are making peak power at 6500rpm, seems odd as most of the big hp setup's dont make peak power till 7500ish. Were you running alot of boost in the midrange and dropping to redline?
