MAF help?

MAF help?

got my car tuned and early on in the revs i was maxing out the MAF.

appearantly the stocker clips at 380 (cfm?) and about 3500 rpm i was maxing it. the tuner tuned the car with this limitation never allowing it to clip so the end result was pretty low. with a 2.3l / 35r kit it only made 390/350.

he says he thinks its because there is a tiny air filter on the car and he'll try to fab up some pipes to allow a bigger filter.

any other ideas?

Ive made over 500 on several cars with the stock maf. The intake may be a problem, but what kind of filter do you have on it and what kind of boost was it running?

18 psi (waste gate spring pressure) and its a COBB filter. the piping was replaced with custom stuff so its JUST the filter.

then where is your maf at?
NM... Could be your piping... what's the diameter of the custom piping

well. what is it doing? if he is saying maxing out, does he mean running lean?
