Read post 1 look at the writeing on the Dynom Paper. Where it says baseline there was nothing on the car completely stock. It was done at the Mach V Event a few weeks back.

good baseline #'s!
but could the diff in power also be attributed to the cooler temperature and lower humidity on that second run ??
.

We thought that at first as well so turned off the fans and ran it a couple times back to back without a cooldown. The HP was still higher than the baseline pulls we did even when we had the temperatures about the same overall. I can say that the car genuinely feels faster. I just sold my built head from my type r, so hopefully I'll be getting a tbe/mbc/tune to let the intake/turbo work better within a few weeks and post up some new numbers =).

Thanks for all of the positive feedback guys. Seems like a great community here on the boards.

no, thank you, for posting baseline #'s. its often very important to know what the bone stock IX puts out (for personal tuning purposes, and since its speculated that the factory released #'s of 286/289 were very conservative), but very rare to see an Evo without any mods... so all u see is people posting their high #'s

there have been several threads on the forums over the years, asking people to provide baseline #'s for a stock VIII or IX, but rarely does someone actually reply, and the few times people have, #'s varied (even on same dynos, i have seen posts stating anywhere 250-260awhp, and 245-255tq)...
.

That's true, there are very few posts/threads with baseline numbers. Especially for evo 8/9s.

My near-baseline numbers were 256whp/247tq (catback and filter only).

Have Full-Race ProStock exhaust manifold, hallman pro rx mbc, lc-1 wideband, boost gauge, and 255lph fuel pump sitting at the house

ets 4" widetank intercooler and magnus cast aluminum intake manifold will be here this week and new laptop for tuning will be here at end of month.

Will probably put the intercooler, wideband, and intake manifold on car this weekend. Still trying to decide if I want to do a new o2 housing or an o2 dump before I put on the full race manifold.

Will put up some updates when I get to the dyno for tune, might be a couple weeks because i'll be traveling for work soon.

Here's my EVO 8 dyno run from English racing after intake and exhaust mods
Stock turbo, cams, and block.

I'll post the dyno sheet after I add the GSC S1 cam

Last edited by Tahoe55; Jul 23, 2009 at 12:42 AM. Reason: new numbers with GSC S1 cam

Nice numbers man! I can't wait until I get my car tuned. I just installed the ETS 4" widetank intercooler this weekend and will hopefully get the lc-1 wideband in this week or weekend to begin gradual changes before I put the hallman mbc in and up the boost some. Did you upgrade the injectors or fuel pump? what boost controller you running? Any other mods besides intake/exhaust? o2 housing?
