Stock ECU, stock MAF, 93 octane etc.
I just got a call from Dan this mourning. I cant beleive i didnt see this thread yesterday but I have a bowling league on Wednesdays then had to spend time with the old lady lol.
I cant wait to drive 6 hrs to go pick it up tomorrow mourning! I lil more info on the car tho. The turbo is a HTA 82 with the .63 five bolt turbine housing. The head is BR stg3. The exhaust is a Greddy racing full Ti. It has ported stock IM and TB. The intake is Dejon 4"bell tapering a lil over 3 for the stock MAF with a AEM adaptor and Dry Flow filter. The 1g BOV has a stop leak kit on it aswell. I think thats about it. I think the lil I/C is probably getting heat soaked too. What do you think David?
The ROM is a 96420008. It has some really old school NLTS, knock cel, valet features but way before the Tephra V anythings.
I also want to Thank David and Dan as much as possible. I took the car to BR due to the fact I know it would come out great as it did. I love how peak torque at such a low rpm. It looks like 46xx I think. Thank you again. Its great when the car is making as much power on pump at less boost then it was on GT 260 Sunoco fuel on an AGGRESSIVE self tune when it was 50 degrees.

By the way, congrats man!
I had no idea it was your car whitey4d, it's funny because for some reason when I saw your screen name I thought you didn't like us for some reason! haha I appreciate you sending the car over to us. I could not view all the Tephra stuff you are saying was in that rom, I only have the stock XML files for that ROM and was shocked that is made good power, idled very good and runs good with what I had to work with. I really hope you are happy with the car.
I also didn't realize some of the stuff you are quoting now that was on the car. I made pull after pull after pull on the car, no long cool downs. If it has the small AMS FMIC on it HTA82 and a 5 bolt housing I am even more impressed. With an .82 housing and a race FMIC I'm sure it would have gone over 500 and that was my goal when I started, just came up a little short. The actual numbers without the smoothing on the sheet was 480 whp.
Someone asked about what mileage do I not like to do drop-ins at? It depends on the mods that were done to the car, how much power it made previously and how hard it's life was. We've done them at 5X,000 miles but I warned the customer they were going to be pretty loud, he didn't care. Car is still going very strong. My brothers car had higher miles on it too and it's pretty loud but has ran great for over 20,000 miles since we did them.
You can install them in an old worn out engine to be honest but the piston to wall clearance gets larger and larger and then you get a lot of noise from the pistons. Ring gap, rod clearance are what you need to watch for the most. The piston to wall clearance, other than the noise, is not a huge issue.
This particular car is VERY quiet, I can't really tell it has forged pistons in it, the cylinder walls were in excellent condition and the tolerances were on the money.

Its a Bushmaster Carbon AR-15.
The next mod on the car will definitley be a Race or BFIC without a doubt! I knew that IC was gonna hold the car back. But its been on the car since it was still stock turbo years ago.
After that is gonna be a Quaife since the car still has a stock open front diff in the car.
Im very impressed with the power it made on pump. Thanks again David!

Two questions for you Adam...One, at what point will you be worried about the trans and t-case? Two, you let me drive this after the HTA35R install....you gonna let me do a few 3rd gear pulls in it now??? lol!
See you tomorrow at Hyperfest...
PS: Time to update your sig.

Nice! I might have an AR or two myself, then again maybe not
Glad you are happy with the power. I have a Quiaffe here I bought, a friend needed some cash and has had it new since they were basically first released. If your interested in a good deal on one let me know. I've used the RS diffs with great success, just broke my first one this year.
PLEASE get this car to a track and run some 10's with it. I need to get a 10 second stock ECU list compiled!

I just found out today thats there is a street night this friday at Mason Dixon dragway. I was flagged last year for a sub 11.50 pass pass and told not to do it again or i was done for the year. Hopefully they dont remember me so I can try to get atleast one good pass in with out the boot.
Im gonna redo the alignment on it tomorrow at lunch. The car has alot of camber in it as it sits right now. Too much for the street really.
I hope to try to click off a 10.anything at around 131. The car is pretty heavy with both crash beams and only weight loss is from light weight bolt ons etc. Still has a/c and everything in it.
