MELLON TUNED on 27psi - 93 Octane PUMPGAS only

Well, I had Chris (MellonTuning.com) tune my evo9 once again. He has tuned me on my stock turbo, my FPgreen, and now my new 35r. Im a repeat customer, because he is simply the best tuner i've ever had. Hands down. I've been tuned by almost all of the top tuners here on these forums (just for curiosity sake) so i'm speaking from experience. Mind you, MY experiences... anyways, so we start again for the 3rd time... and as usual we start safely in the beginning and ramping up to make power. Chris is very careful and detailed oriented, which is awesome! I've actually learned alot about tuning just from his open willingness to explain changes etc. Well, my initial goal was to hit 30psi on pumpgas and 500whp. However, we've had a nasty heat wave in Houston lately... so its been reluctant to handle boost over 27psi... BUT it turns out in the end i didnt really need it. At 27psi on pumpgas, we finally netted 497whp!
Mind you Chris' DLLs are really conservative... my last FPgreen DLL showed 387whp and i ended up dynoing 401whp at a local mustang dyno(turbochargers.com)
Im pretty confident we'll break 500hp at the dyno!!
Anyways, here are the DLLs from Mellon along w/ an overlay from my last setup (35r-27psi vs FPgreen-28psi) - both on pumpgas Imagine what a lil' methanol or racegas would do!

-Tom

Results speak for themselves. I don't know Chris at all but I've been talking to him about tuning my setup. Seeing another happy customer only helps me with my decision. nice power man.

you won't be dissappointed! In fact Chris' results for mail tunes have surpassed even local tuners that were IN the car! Just like any tuner he reviews the logs to make changes... same thing when someone is in your car. its just unfortunate that most remote tuners use the distance to not be thorough. However, mellon does not! We went through over 20 revisions!

btw guys... this was on a standard Garrett 3586r.. non-HTA...

glad you're happy with it Tom...you know by now it's more than just the numbers for me...we had nearly these numbers 10 revisions ago but it wasn't consistent enough for my taste. It's the fine tuning that makes the difference in a fast car and a fast reliable car

20 revisions!????!!!!!!!??? Damn!! That's nice that he's thorough but doesn't he want 3 pulls for each revision? That's 60pulls!!! Where in the world can you get away with driving like that and not get a ticket? I just did 3pulls for him last weekend and I was so worried that a cop was coming the other way that I aborted one pull because a black charger was coming the other way which of course I thought was the police....haha

Im pretty sure he doesn't do 3 pulls each revision. No way would you ever need to do 60 pulls to tune the car unless you had no idea what you were doing.

Good job chris!
