Hobin's +80whp/100wtq DG Tuned Evo 9

Today Hobin came in from Queens to have his newly purchased Evo 9 tuned. After getting recommendations from quite a few people, he decided to give us a shot. Well needless to say he left with way more than he thought he was going to leave with.

Mods:

Tanabe Full TBE

Injen Intake w/ Upper and Lower IC Pipes

MBC

Tuned by Pete @ DG Motors

Off to the dyno sheets:

Gains:

+90whp/100wtq @ 3,800rpm

+100whp/100wtq @ 5,252rpm

+85whp/50wtq @ 7,000rpm

Hello sick mid-range power

Using an off the shelf mbc, we ditched the stock ecu controlled boost and turned the wick up.

Hobin will be coming back in the next few months for an IC upgrade and hopefully some cams and or alky injection so we can crack 350+whp on our dyno. Enjoy your new found power and be safe!

Thanks. This car's motor is healthy at 40,000 miles. The gas in the car is also real good. It took timing really well, just take a look at how steady the power is holding to red-line. I wish every car I tune is like this. As a tuner it really helps to have a healthy car with a good part combination on it.

I still am confused why your guys' dyno always has that spike on torque onset. Is this with 1.0 CF? Nice numbers. Also crazy how it holds power up top, very nice.

My big THANKS out to Pete, I walked in with expectations to leave with 250 at the wheels and I ended up with so much more! He walked me through every single thing he did and guided me to what I needed next now that my car has finally awoken. The whole process was done very thoroughly and every pull was tested and retested for quality assurance. I came in with a fast car and I left a wingless aircraft. I know definitely who I'll be going to for my future tuning needs. Once again, Thanks Pete hope to see you again soon~

It happens often with Evo 8/9's. The evo X's not so much. It must be a mix of using Dyno Dynamics new controller. You have to run through a process before you ramp up on the dyno. I called up Dyno Dynamics numerous times and they were not too much help.

Yes, 1.0 CF.

Thanks! We will usually see 380ish to the wheels with an evo 9 full bolt-ons cams+meth @ 30psi on our dyno.
