DG Motor's Sponsored Evo 9!

Scott has been supporting our shop for a little over a year now. Never really asked many questions and kind of liked to just hang out and shoot the breeze with us. We have had a few discussions on what I feel this car needs to compete a little stronger in the form of racing he does. Scott is big into road courses primarily upstate and so forth.

This past week we decided to give him a sponsorship. Passing 62,000 miles on a bone stock motor it was time to replace the timing/balance belts and water pump. We also installed a nice buschur tbe and intake along with a hallman pro mbc and a custom dyno tune.

We got the car prepped and ready to go for a big race he has coming up this weekend in E-town. Hopefully his new found power and re-assurance that his motor will be operating efficiently and where it should be will give him a first place spot. Scott was placing 3rd or better in his previous races on a bone stock factory sluggish tune and boost control.

Here are the updates:

Buschur Tbe
Intake
Hallman Pro Mbc
Custom DG Tune

Dyno Sheets:

Nice solid gains after a tune with few modifications added. Keep in mind this car will be hot lapping between 20-30 minutes. Peak power is not much of a concern, longevity is and this motor will be happy with over 100,000+ miles with proper maintenance.

Good luck with the race this weekend Scott and enjoy!

Thanks, the baseline was with the mods installed. Bone stock evo 9's will make roughly 205-210 whp.

The air/fuels where around 10.9-11.2 with the mods already on the car so that helped with the baseline pull as well. This same car stock today may have been in the high 190'swhp with the heat and humidity today.

I can't thank you enough Pete and the whole crew at DG for supporting me and my racing efforts. This car is a beast now, the power increase is amazing, spool up is almost instant, I can't wait to get out on the track. You guys have done your part now it's time for me to drive the wheels off of it and put up some results!

Thats awesome, not everyone can get support like that but its good to see a shop standing behind someone. It makes you feel like part of the community, when I wake up and see my evo in the garage i know im not the only person who cares about it.

We stand behind our customers/friends as family. Ask anyone who has been through our facility.

We are going to start offering full/partial sponsorships but you will need to be part of our crew. When we go racing, be there with a helping hand. If you come down to hang out during a tuning session show support and strap a car down. We are building an army here at DG, come down and introduce yourself. You can find us here 24-7 building/tuning...
