Thanks. We are located in Lindenhurst, NY. Where in NYC are you located? We are 45 minutes from the city. What kind of build are you finishing up?

Oil pan needs to be removed then it gets tedious.

But I plan having Jimmy and Junior doing some meth and 3 port boost solenoid with a Tephra mod over the winter should make for a short life on my ACT clutch...

DG once again great job.
I'm worried about my act clutch on methanol injection too, im going to have jimmmy change my clutch for a twin or triple plate exedy so i dont have issues with meth injection, i suggest you do the same. Unless you want a slipping clutch.

The world seems to be getting smaller and smaller.

No if I could only find work in Orlando or Pt. St. Lucie, Florida then the world would continue to get smaller cause we'd be neighbors

Whats up everyone, I'm Nick. Sorry to DG for taking so long to get on this thread... been real busy with work.

Just my 2 cents to everyone on here. DG is a great shop full of great dudes. My evo is my baby and I don't just drop it off to anone when I want work done. Someone already statd that they like Pete because he's a straight up guy. That's the exact truth, any questions, concerns, or ideas for him or his crew and they'll let you know what they think without bull****ting you. Not only that but they really take pride in what they do and spend enough time to do it the right way

The car is tuned out and makes nice smooth power. Good spool up, not bad partial throttle, and just plain nast at WOT. I love the JMF o2 dump too(obnoxiously loud when the WG opens) but on a DD car I would prob recommend against it. I was content with the power it made, it may seem low but with respect to the dyno and the correction factor the numbers are right where they should be. It also would've squeaked out a few more whp but the ported TB had to be replaced we the stocker because it was causing some issues.

Future plans are to build the bottom end and run meth to really make the car rip, but at the moment I'm just spending some time enjoying what seemed like a forever build.

Once again, big thanks to DG for helping me get my car set up right! Check them out folks, they do great work.

Nick

Dipset, look nto the ATS/Carbonetic twin and triple plate clutchesas well. They'reavery underraed clutch. Awesome street clutch. I have the twin plate and it is a very very streetable clutch that grabs real hard up top. Don't take my word for it, ask DG, both Pete and Eric drove my car themself.....

best of luck with the car

Hey Nick is was a pleasure working with you! Glad you are enjoying your car finally! We talked about this build for a while and you came through with great parts besides that sticking T-body that was killing us! Get that thing fixed and we will squeeze out some more power..How does 425ish sound?

Take care and enjoy!

The hand held controller for this dyno is slightly different than your average. You have to go through a process in order to ramp a car up and then you have to end the car's pull as well.

It is a 4 button process and you have to really be on time to get the perfect pull.

Here is a short break down:

1.Load Off
2.Stabilize
3.Ramp up
4.Ramp End

Now you have to cruise in the Load Off section first. Get to the rpm you want to start. Next you have to click up into stabilize which will lock the car in place on the rollers. You then hit ramp up and this is where it gets tricky, the stabilize function will load the car up slightly so to speak by forcing it "not" to ramp up too fast at first. Lastly you hit ramp end to stop the car from graphing.

It is virtually impossible to time everything 100% since every car spools and ramps up differently at different rpms.

Sorry if that was confusing but anyone with this software and version of dyno knows how much of a PITA it is compared to a dynojet or mustang dyno.

To conclude everything the low rpm spike or the little spike you will see at peak torque from time to time is just a slight timing error on the dyno operator's behalf when the pull process begins....

Interesting. What model dyno dynamics dyno do you guys have?
