BBK, Stock motor, 92 oct
The cat is a killer. The exhaust that is on the car now is either stock or a Works Exhale so either way it is restricted. The dump opened that all back up. I had meant that the 350 stock turbo number was with an ETS catback, these new numbers did not have that.

Ok , thanks
Its all in the numbers, sometimes it diminishing returns (mostly stock turbo) and sometimes the cooler air from the larger turbo lets you get away with it. My car runs 29psi on 92 as well, but the 3586 lets me get away with murder. I have had my car out to 32psi on 92 before.

Yeah you will eventually find the limit where there cant be enough timing and regardless of boost pressure the car isnt going to make anymore power. I have done it a couple of times on mine recently trying to find if there is more in it or not. Pumpgas is just the limiting factor and really it doesnt take much more to get the car to do what you want it to. I think if we had 93 octane here (I dont count the NW 94) we'd be able to do even more still. A stock turbo doesnt make good power per pound past 24-25, but there are alot of turbos that still seem to make the power with low timing if you can get away with it. Tommy's car has always been exceptional for a stock cam car anyway (2nd highest we have seen on pump/stockers) so it didnt surprise me that it was able to conitinue that on a larger turbo
The cutout is welded into a dcsports downpipe/testpipe where the testpipe would be. So with the cutout closed it's still catless but flowing through the stock catback.
It's the best to stay quiet then it's all hell with that sucker open.

when i talk to bryan from GST about what im tuning and the timing and boost im running its kind of funny! we have nice 10% 93 out here, and it rocks..
i can run 29psi on pump all day on bbk cars, 33R cars, etc... and still keep timing in them!!
want me to ship you some drums of fuel? lol!

Nice solid daily driver numbers. This is about the same set-up I plan on building in the near future.
I've been very impressed with what I've seen from the BBK Full.
