You haven't gone to the track, so who are you to speak up about "detuning." For all you know your car may trap 110 itself. If you don't have factual information, maybe you should keep your words to yourself.

dude you have no clue what your taking about....110 never will happen my friend made 320 on that extremely low reading..d.d.dyno and my car made a whopping 333 stock turbo,stock,cams,26psi pump one of the highest on that dyno ,it actually made 342 and was gonna make more but ran out of injector duty cycle...and now it's making well over 430 or more on that heart breaker so keep your comment's to your self and see your way out of this conversation pal....

My trap speeds are right at where they need to be. I think everyone needs to chill and have a .

The trap is ok. Probably i have another couple of mph left on the same boost with just better driving. If i can get 132-134 on straight pump with less than 30psi then i will be insanely happy with the car! Then we will do racegas or corn fuel...

Personally i like your graph.

My first custom tune few years back was made by Dynoflash. I was happy with the car and it was trapping 114s @ 3500 lbs with around 23psi.

My fourth pass ever on the car with full bolt-ons was a 12.1@114 and that was driving first time ever my Evo @ a real drag strip...

For whats its worth every time my car was been on a dynojet it it was leaner and hit lower loads cells then it did on the street prior to going on to it.

The road checkup after a dyno tune is a good idea IMHO. My car has been on 2 MDs and 3 Dynojets. The car always run smoother on the MD then DJs especially when starting from a low rpm. Very close to the street when on a PROPERLY SET UP Mustang dyno.

a DJ loads the car too much at low RPM and not enough at high RPMs it seems to me after me expierences with both and the road with evoscan.
My procedure is to use the dyno to perform several functions

A - Verify power production is within desired range. In this capacity the dyno is a diagnostic tool which can determine of the car is functioning properly and qualtify the power.

B - Work out the maximum best timing values. With a dyno you can find the ignition timing values which result in the best TQ value and then back them off to a safe level.

C - Quanitfy gains or losses from tuning adjustments and or parts changes.

Once a car is optimally tuned on a dyno, IMHO any careful tuner will data log and check the car on a road going flat, slightly uphill and down hill. This allows to make sure the car is smooth and feels good also make sure the tune fom the dyno is safe.

Dyno numbers are only numbers.

I would like to add that 99% of the tuning I do is not on street driven daily driver vehicles. When a customer is trying to enjoy a high performance vehicle with minimal modifications as a form of principle transportation its only rational to keep the tuning on the safe side and err on the side of caution and long term reliability. All too often the fixation is on peak dyno numbers and not the area under the curve and the safe functioning of the car under a wide range of operating conditions and fuels used.

Of course tuning a highly modified race vehicle or project car which is intended only to push the limits is another proposition.

Al

I drove 2hrs and 30mins each way to get there.. It was so worth the trip and will be returning there when i mod my car more.

AL is a funny dude haha and also a great tuner!

It was HOTTT day when it was on the dyno... 96 degrees the dyno sheet reads.. The car is running 24 PSI... Car made 351whp / 343 wtq

+1 to Big AL
Thanks for your business and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
