wowww that is some nasstttty power for only 31psi on an fp red i think my next upgrade is going to be the magnus v5. Also is your throttle body ported 65mm or stock?

Ya 520 on 31lbs is pretty respectable. There are a lot of Reds pushing over 35lbs just break 500.

I currently have a stock TB. I may in the future upgrade to the MilSpec 65mm. Before anything else goes into my motor i need to beaf up a few things.

how did the magnus v5 change your powerband? would you say you lost any low end tq with it or did it do nothing but open up more power in general? im close to deciding wether or not I want to throw one of these in my car. 520hp is really amazing considering it took me 33psi and e85 to hit 461, but i believe its my cams + intake manifold holding me back.

Well I didn't do a before and after on the Magnus v5 but my buddy Eric did https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...s-v5-omfg.html. Erics and my car are pretty close to the same mods except he is on race gas at 35lbs and I'm on 31lbs and Meth. Erice does still have the stock MIVEC cams though. I don't think that cams will hold you back, his car being a prime example of making awesome power on stock cams I have HKS cams too. Although I have the 272/280 combo so my topend will be a bit better than your 272/272 setup. If you upgrade to Kelfords or GSCs you will see a much better midrange and your topend will increase a bit too!

On a MIVEC car I don't believe that you will lose any lowend power because of the adjustment you can make to the MIVEC/Timing with the added v5. Also retaining the stock tb or 65mm and running a short route UICP will help retain your lowend power. Now if you throw on the v5, a 70+mm tb, don't get short route UICP then YES you will lose lowend power.

I'm also not a fan of a larger than 65mm tb unless you are running a 3586+ with 3in UICP... Otherwise i don't think you are going to see much gains. Stick with stock or 65mm if your running the normal 65mm UICP.

The v5 will help you out a lot. You will be able to run more boost, more timing, and have better air temps . It will move your powerband to the right over the stock intake manifold and it will really come to life above 6k. It is def worth 50+ peak power over the stock intake manifold on a red+ size turbo. I believe that Aaron at ER picked up 70+ peak on his 3586.

Well I have to say it is different than some of the other EBCs but it seems to be working well and it holds boost up top. I have the responce set to 100% with my peak boost set at 29lbs and I was hitting 31lbs by 4k on the street with my huge v5. So the car spools great and hold 30 out the top with my warning boost set at 31lbs with a 100% warning drop off rate... I am very happy with it and thank you for your help and support!

your whp looks great just curious as to why your tq is that low? do u think it had to do with ur bc issues? Especially with the magnus i would fig your tq to more along the lines of 470 480?

He already stated he has a conservative ignition timing map..... more timing = more tq.... he can easily get the same tq as me or more by just advancing his timing.... if you ask me hes smart, because tq is what breaks rods.

+1 I was running stock turbo at 450tq but that was asking for trouble. I personally think 450tq is pushing the rods. However Ryu is pushing 500+tq daily but honestly, he has more ***** than I...

nice numbers. did you ever consider running a stock ported intake manifold? probably less lag?
