Was that really a serious question??? Stock clutch could never hold any amount of that power. Yes it was on EMS, thus why the logs he posted were from it.

Thanks a ton!
As I've read, the fs635 is similar enough to the 6262 to go deep 9's. I think buschur mentioned it had different sized hotside?
With Lucas' compression, the response on the fs should be bannanas!! How much boost are you guys looking to run at 'full kill'? Weather permitting, will you guys gun for the 9's before the year is over?

.83 hotside. ,,, Now that you mention it, I think it's time for a boost-leak test.

It is definitely quick spooling and the 11:1 makes it pretty seamless as far as power coming on. Our season is pretty much over up here though we are planning a trip or 2 to Cali to get some more seat time in our shop cars. Luke is already at the end of his cage and I dont think he is looking to bump it to a 10 pt. just because of mph. I think the car probably has it in it though if he wanted it.

Right now he is only at 33psi or so as well but that was pre-fuel redo. We got the fuel system done in the car and have a new ported head to test on the car. I am assuming it will be in the 38-39# range on full kill. I like how your build is really the basic typical way someone would build a 700whp car. No crazy pistons or rods, no HUGE valves or super ported head, just bolt on and plug in parts and it gets it done.

From what I know the fs635 is pretty similar with the 6262. I actually tried to measure the compressor wheel and turbo wheel and they are more like 63mm that 62mm. With the fs635 Buschur has ran 9.0@160 almost...

To the OP. Congrats for the car guys. It should be a monster of a street car!!!

I need your opinion on compression.

Trying to sort-out the relationship between compression vs boost.

"Riddle me this Batman"....

If motor 'A" with 9 to 1 compression runs 25psi-- what is the final 'static' ratio?

How much boost does motor 'B' with 10 to 1 require to reach that same 'static' number? ( This being the only difference,,, all other factors remaining identical)

I've never pin-pointed the exact correspondance of boost vs compression and would love to hear your opinion.

Secondly, e85 certainly kicks *** in the 'bang for the buck' factor. But wouldn't the 11.1 motor benefit from q-16's oxygen content at the same boost levels?

Just curious, since I'm such a 'desk-top racer'....

There are a few things that alter the equation, like the cams, but those aside the math is pretty easy:

25psi +14.7psi (ambient air pressure) * 9 = 357.3 psi

357.3/10 - 14.7psi = 21psi +/-

Some of the other variables like VE, base altitude, etc. all play a role in what is equivalent. It looks good on paper but never seems to play out in real life like this.

Ahhhhhhh!!!

That's the algebra I was looking for!!
