Interested in knowing as well. It would help me in converting to e85. Great numbers as always Mellon and I'm sure a power band like that on a 50 trim is a blast to drive.

Surprising what that "old-school" turbo will do. Great tuning!!

I know, I like tuning the "old-school" turbos and showing people what they can do in the right hands with good supporting mods and octane

Mellon,

Was that a journal or ball bearing 50-trim?

I'm curious how the transient response was on the street. Did it feel as responsive as a Red in the real world? On paper it's looks better than the Red...

Thanks!

its a ball bearing turbo.

i cant tell how it feels compared to a red since ive never driven a red.

i can tell you it hit 31 psi at 4400 RPMs

I can't speak to how it feels in comparison either since this was a remote e-mail tune

it does appear to be performing on par with some of the better running FP Red cars I've tuned. The difference is that the FP Red is a bolt on stock appearing turbo. However, if someone came across a good deal on a 50trim kit then I wouldn't hesitate to give it a try based on these results.

Chris i guess the reason some are surprised is cause , back in the day when the 50 trim was out , tuners were not pushing the evo stock ecu , and most of the results were on stand alones ... some of the tuners in the past would have not imagined to get so high results on the 50 trim on a stock ecu

seeing these reults on the 50trim , is awesome ,

yeah, I came late to the scene since I was still in the the 3000/Stealth stuff when the EVO hit the US in particular, so I didn't get an opportunity to tune some of what some mistakenly believe are obsolete turbos.
