Mellon Tuning EVO 8 50trim 93 octane vs e85

Interesting comparison between fuels on a 50trim, I was impressed and we were discussing going for 500awhp with a little more boost but we're already pushing the stock rods enough.

I was looking at some logs and thought this might be interesting to share:

93 octane and PTE 880cc at 400awhp put the IDC to 75%
e85 and PTE 1200cc put the IDC to 95%

any turbo will do 30psi but you might have to pull so much timing that it become counter productive and leave the car a bit unstable. That's why I usually do 25-28psi on the smaller hotside turbos when working with pump gas. I'm sure with 30psi it will put out more torque but it might suffer up top.

You guys only on one fuel pump?

I have gotten alot of power out of one pump and 1200cc injectors, but not somethign I would do to a customer car.

indeed Gary, here's an overlay with a car from houston with e85 on a red with stock shorty, stock head at 31psi, looks like the ole 50trim can hold it's own.

Great power guys, the 50-trim is definitely underrated as far as turbo's go.

Here's my old power graph w/ the 50-trim on E85:
