Dyno tuned today
....Shouldve put in the headstuds while the cams were getting installed. Basically #4 piston was cracked at the top edge, and on top of that the two corner head bolts were loose. We sent the head and block out for honing and machening. The pistons, rings, and bearings were all changed in all cylinders, and we also went and changed the manifold to a Buschur and the stock 9 turbo to a green...Going back on the dyno soon and ill will post the new chart as soon as the motor is reasy to be ABUSED!!!!LOL

A couple things.
First, Why are you running the AEM with such low mods/power. Its totally not needed and its complete overkill.
Second, your problem doesnt come from not having head studs. There is many people with more power then you and no studs. And GSC S1's DO NOT need spring/retainers. Dont know why your tuner would suggest that
Third, you say that the piston was cracked. That is a sure sign of detonation. Also, since your running the AEM, it has it own "knock control" that has to be setup by the tuner. Also, the AEM doesnt have as good of a knock protection then the stock ECU, IMHO.
My recommendations....get rid of the AEM and get a new tuner.

^ditto, and why such low psi? why did you have him make that power at a higher psi and want the same power but at a lower psi? im confused lol obviously was less safe..but okay numbers for 21psi non the less!

Nice numbers, but seriously, a 30 PSI boost spike lifts the head, possible associated detonation takes out a piston, and you are going to continue to use the AMS MBC? I'm only new to turbos, but I would have thought it sensible to invest in a EVC to properly control the boost, especially after such an event.

My new setup.....tuned @ 24psi
