Ivey Tune Results

(Graph Included)

Modded my IX back in February. Here's the mod list:

HKS Racing Suction Intake
HKS Carbon TI Exhaust
HKS downpipe
Hallman PRO Rx Boost Controller
Walbro 255 LPH Fuel Pump
Perrin High-Flow Cat
Vibrant 12" SS Resonator

Tuned on the dyno to 24 PSI.

Results - max power/torque 331 whp/322 ft lb on a Dynojet (before resonator was added. Resonator probably decreased power by a couple whp).

Resonator was included to decrease droning near 3000 rpm. Helped a bit - made highway droning tolerable.

Power gains were dramatic - car pulled much harder across the board and seemed to spool faster. Overall response felt better. Tune was kept conservative for safety and daily driving.

Two and a half months after mods, and I am very satisfied with the results. Thanks to Sean Ivey, Will and Dave for being responsive and delivering so nicely.

I Just got my Evo 9 tuned and I was dissapointed in the numbers. dyno dynamics dynamometer. whp was 281.6 and torque 298. seems a little low. I have a injen intake, nisei fmic. uicp and lower incp, perrin high flow cat. perrin downpipe. hks ti carbon exhaust. Hallman mbc, and deatschwerks 750cc injectors, walboro 255lph. when they were done tuning I started my car to leave and it was knocking. found out they injectors they just installed 2 of them were loose. could this have effected the tuning thus less horsepower? my cousin has the same exact set up minus the injectors, tuned at the same place and has 337 whp and 365 torque. any suggestiions? boost leak?

I agree - with those mods you should make better numbers. Did you ask the people who tuned why the numbers were so low? They should have an idea....

Yeah i did ask them and they said that those numbers were about right for my mods. But I disagree. I see many evo's even with less mods pull over 300 whp. Not sure what to do now?

Take your car to another tuner? If you live in the NE region Ivey could help you. CBRD is also good from what I hear.

Thanks. I think I'll contact Sean Ivey. He's a little closer for me living in Mass. I need to find out why my car is not running at it's potential.
