I think the car has another 20-30whp in it uptop, theres a degree or so left im sure to get more power, but i stopped at around 19-20.

why the hell dont evos have a dummy oil light? or does mine just not work?
..Let me guess you have the dipstick zip-tied and said to your self it must be full. Mines like that and its a pain to check. I need that spring that BR sells

See you at the event

And that is an amazing looking power band. I can't wait to get mine up and running. Kind of like you, I had a major set back today. Come to find out, my car has little to no compression across all cylinders. I know it wasn't an oil starvation issue or as severe as yours, but I feel your pain. I can't wait to get my 2.4 and black up and running. I'm very jealous right now. Your car must be a blast.

Regarding FP, their customer service may rock, but turn around time is lacking. They've had my stock ix for 5 weeks.

sounds like a headgasket. (hopefully) -- I dont think you can get worse then spinning a rod bearing. I had to replace so much stuff just because of it. I need a light on my evo tho that shows me the oil level is getting low.. the AEM gauge doesnt cut it.

I am finishing it tonight in garage i have to put turbo on, downpipe, timing belt, axles, suspension, and a few misc things. ill have it done by 3am if i start now. I also have to wait for a few misc parts to come also tho to be 100% finished. thank god i can do everything myself in my garage or id get owned bad with labor fees.

no i actually filled it up to full before i left for the ohio shootout and didnt think to check oil levels once i got home. it was around a 900-1000 mile trip. it takes around 8-9 hrs of constant driving. Needless to say the motor was trying to give me signs it needed oil once i got it home but i refused to check it for what reason I cant figure out till this day. I was using good oil, its just this was my first race motor so i didnt know what to expect from a long trip and i dont think it was fully broken in yet either.

BR fixed it for a great price tho and im happy and will continue to support them. The turn around time was very good as well. about 10 days to get it rebuilt and shipped back to me. 1k in repairs including new crank, new bearings, rings.. etc.. still using the old rods, pistons, etc.. resized the rods and i think thats it. they also cleaned up misc parts i sent and included misc oem parts as well for me. basically fixed it for free labor wise.

I cant wait to wring it out with you in the passenger seat! Gonna be fun! Maybe we will get to compare it to another BR 2.3L FP Black car from Lanc county! Whichever evo wants to win needs to hire a ringer driver! (I am available for a low low price!) :-)

Hey batty, it's ross. Are you referring to me as being the other BR 2.3 black? Tscomp wait till I get home I'll post my mods. Car is still at BR, blew the stock 6 speed out on the dyno last Tuesday before they had a chance to tune it waiting on my bushwhacker 5 sp swap to be done. So I don't have numbers to compare yet

Yessir! So in little old lancaster county there will be:
a pair of 2.3L/Black cars,
a LR2.4/GT35R,
a stock block/Black,
a stock block/20G
and a stock block/6262!

I hope that I will be able to keep up!

A bit off topic, but is Kreionic CBRDs tuner now or did he just help you with stuff on the side?

No im not and i never have. Chad and I are just good friends and i rent the dyno. All the tweaking on the car after the dyno has been tscompusa on his own

helped me with stuff on the side. We were having issues due to weather, fmic, and ecu pulling timing from a setting i forgot to remove.. so the dyno tune wasnt near completed, the after road tune is my completed tune, which i would put $ on it probably will crack over 600 on that dyno now. the torque was down also because I misinformed him about mbt at peak tq.. it wasn't what i thought it was.

I recommend him, hes a good tuner and if you dont know how to tune he will follow up with his own work until you're happy with it. Definitely worth the money to let him tune you.. hes smart and knows all ecu's also, not just ecuflash. he tunes supras, 350z's, evos, dsms, 240sx, hondas, subarus, etc.. he definitely knows his stuff and is a multi platform tuner which not everyone can do and is willing to share what he does as he does it.

I believe he does do some side work for cbrd also, but for the most part Chad handles all tuning at cbrd.
