Looking for 350awhp

So I'm a newb when it comes to Evo's, I know all there is to know about mustangs but this is new to me lol. But I have a totally stock 05 evo MR with 54k miles. People have told me the stock 6M can only really handle 350whp, so I figure thats a good horse power goal for now (if thats wrong, let me know). let me know if you think my goals/plans are good and what brands you all like for everyhting. I'm looking to get the following over the winter, and install this spring:

-TBE (looking for more of a deep tone then a fart can noise, what brand you all recommend? test pipe? resonator?)
-some 272's (what brand?)
-manual or electrical boost controller (23-25 psi)
-turbo timer
-new manifold (possibly)
-new drop in filter
-IX BOV
-Tune (where is a good place in northern IL area?)

I think thats about it for this winter, and I think 350awhp should be capable with these mods... right? I don't really beat on my cars btw, like I don't plan on launching my car all that much or anything.

I made a little more than 350, but it was also on a conservative tune and a mustang dyno. Mods are in sig. You're gonna want to add a fmic and upper and lower ic piping to that list too.

Keep searching around on the forum there is a lot of info but my thoughts below, also that 6spd should be fine at the power level you are at based on what i have read on this forum
-TBE (looking for more of a deep tone then a fart can noise, what brand you all recommend? test pipe? resonator?)--go on youtube and type in evo exhaust or similar, you will get many hits and can listen to various exhausts
-some 272's (what brand?) --kelford or gsc
-manual or electrical boost controller (23-25 psi)-manual
-turbo timer-dont think you really need this.
-new manifold (possibly)-ported stocker works well
-new drop in filter-might as well get a cone filter and intake pipe because most likely you will get one in the future
-IX BOV-APS BOV instead
additional items
-walbro 255 lph pump a must
-upgraded Front mount intercooler, lower intercooler pipe
-Tune (where is a good place in northern IL area?) -mellontuning.com (remote tuning), you will get a great tune plus you will learn about your car during the process and have the necessary logging equipment to monitor the car on an ongoing basis

TBE: As stated above look on youtube.. Most people will say go with Buschur because it's very light, but it can also be very loud. But I personally love my exhaust, but it's discontinued.. Esplier (sp?)GTC500 series, that I picked up here on the forums for $300 shipped for a full turbo back, that was already bunged for a WB02. Seeing IL. is an emissions testing state just to be safe I'd look into a high-flow cat, but if you get lucky like I did (running straight test-pipe) they never hooked up the 02 sniffer to my exhaust, and only just plugged into the ecu to see if there were any codes. But for the best performance, test pipe > cat.

Cams: I'd probably recommend getting Kelford 272's, just get it done right the first time.

Boost control: Alot of people run manual boost controllers which is fine. But I'd actually recommend looking at a 3-port EBC set-up like Grimmspeed. Plugs right into the existing harness, no cutting wires like some others need. And can be controlled through the ECU once tuned.

Turbo timer: Not really needed, if your just doing normal DD.. but if your at a track day, just let it idle a little while after your run so it'll cool down.

Manifold: Save your money and have your stock manifold ported.. both intake and exhaust.

Filter: If your asking about cams and everything and looking to get your goal of 350awhp, you can do a drop-in filter, but it would be best to get a cone filter. Just so you get rid of that%2Proxy-Connection: keep-alive
Cache-Control: max-age=0

ox, and all that plastic piping that has the ridges all over it going into the turbo.. not the best for efficiency.

BOV: For your goals a metal IX bov would be fine. A slight "crushing" never hurt either.. unless you crush it too much then it can flutter on low throttle applications.. But if you want to go straight aftermarket.. probably a Synapse, or Tial recirculating.

Tune: For northern illinois you have AMS (west chicago), Strictly Modified (Schaumburg). Of course AMS is the "big" world wide name, but personally I don't go there. I go to Strictly Modified.. Call them up and talk to Cisco. I believe their road tunes are $295. Which include a wideband 02 install (you don't keep.. already tried ) complete boost leak test, and looking over of your car. But if you prefer a dyno, there's one available close by for a small rental charge.

Other things you NEED to get before a tune, are a boost gauge (if you don't already) and a upgraded fuel pump (walb. 255).

Things that can be upgraded but don't need to be right away.. U/L intercooler piping, larger intercooler (no ebay stuff). The lower pipe (passenger side) is essential because it tapers down off the turbo, and then expands again when it goes into the stock IC. The upper is more for looks, it is a decent size and flows well enough for what your looking for.

From: west coast
evo 9 turbo
boost gauge
a/f ratio gauge
manual boost controller

= easy 350 HP. just watch it when playing with your manual boost controller, and read up.
