Kinda silly to not have done the cams with the car having been down for 2 months already, youre gonna be hurting yourself out of a pretty decent amount of power. If you can manage to get a set of S2's in there before it hits the dyno Monday you really should.

Or do a back to back, no cams and then dyno, then get the cams installed then hit the dyno again, just for you to say, "Oh ya that was stupid, thank you Svendiesel!"

Yeah I know its pretty silly but I have dumped quite a bit of money into this thing already and I will be fine for the time being until I have the funds to do the cams in a little while.

I would have done them if I didnt have to do a clutch rebuild along with the intermediate plate which kind of threw those plans out the window, I also have to add the fluidampr before it tunes as well which is all the money I would have spent on the cams, I think I am going to do FP 4R's though, not sure going to talk to Mike and see what he says.

Cams make a night and day difference...When I made 500 whp on a uncorrected mustang dyno on stock cams with my 6262 on 33 psi, I swapped in gsc 2 cams and made the same power and 30 whp in the mid range with 31 psi and 2* less on a hotter day..

The car feels so much different cams make the bigger and motor breath harder and better..I think you aid to a back to back test stock cams vs gsc2 cams..Anyway good luck monday either way your still gonna make some really good power with your setup..

Thanks I appreciate that, I have no idea what its going to make power wise but its good to hear that people say it will make good power and I have made good choices with the set up.

I am sure that it would be a big difference but I look at it this way, I am already doing a 200whp jump in power from my previous set up and I get used to how much power I have quickly most times and always add more and more along the way.

I think that by tuning it as is will keep me satisfied for quite a while and then when I crave a little more power again pop the cams in, from there its pretty much going for a Black somewhere down the road so on and so forth.

Plus I will be able to show what the results are with and without cams which is a plus as well for the Evom community.

Hope you've get a dyno sheet up soon; and shame there's no cams. If you want to transition into power to get used to the difference, or hold off on it until you're craving more like you said, just turn the boost down!

The stock cams aren't horrible I made 494 who on stock cams, intercooler piping, intake manifolds, and throttle body pump gas on a dyno jet..the good thingis that the Turbo isn't so big with the green your still gonna make some good power and ill bet you you might hold 31 psi till reline cause of the stock cams..I can't wait to see your graph and power curve keep us posted kid.

Yea, not saying stockers are horrible, but even something as mild as HKS 262's wouldn't push out of the Green's powerband (at least I don't think) and would still show some decent gains. Though, I can see the line of logic in wanting to only buy 1 set of cams if ever deciding to go bigger.. But that's off topic; Definitely looking forward to seeing the curve on this 06MRV8Killer!

Wow, fubar'd @work (hell, prolly would've fubar'd anywhere) and combined 264's&272's to make something even smaller.. win for the newb! But in regards to the HKS 264's, I was under the impression that those were the mildest upgrade over stock cams pretty much on the market.. is that wrong? If I'm throwing off this thread, anyone can feel free to pm me.
