The phantom knock is a known thing with the kelfords though. But in this case he does need to change the springs and retainers I agree. I will tell him to do that asap.

Its interesting reading everything here. Im sort of upset that i didnt shell out the money for the springs and retainers while i had the cams installed. I was under the assumption that i didnt need them for kelford as long as i kept the stock rev limiter. My valvetrain is noisy and now im probably going to look into picking up these up and shelling out the money to have them installed. Thanks for everyones input!

also what is everyones advice on springs..should i go with something like the fp beehive springs where you can use the stock retainers and seats or should i just go all the way and get something like the supertechs? and do you recommend the beehives or the duel springs? Right now its stock block stock turbo..the only upgrades id do in the future would be a 2.4l when my engine needs to be rebuilt and possibly a red or black... but not atleast for another year...
