Yeah I had a defective Walb 255, I pulled it out of the package and put it on the hanger and into the tank. Turned it on and I could hear it running, didnt pump any fuel up to the rail so I pulled it back out and placed it in a 5qt pail of fuel and ran a line off it into an empty container. When i started it up to test it, the pump started grinding and making sparks. Nearly burned my garage down.
I dont blame Walboro, sometimes things are just faulty. It happens.

We've sold almost 100 of these pumps and this is the only issue we have been made aware of, that to me is an isolated incident I'm very confident DW has or will take care of this customer as well, they just didn't have the opportunity to do so prior to his posting...

Hey Chris, thank you for posting up about MA's experience so far.

We have not had the chance to look into the situation as we have not been able to speak with PANAMA in depth other than a couple PMs stating that he will get in contact with us via email over the weekend.

Seriously guys, calm down a bit. These have been on some sort of back order for awhile, and then they just started shipping to most of us on the 11th. That means that most of the 100 pumps weren't delivered until last week! It's going to take time for most guys that don't work at a shop to schedule time for the pump install and tuning. If we're still not seeing guys post up results within the next 2-3 weekends, then I could see some urgency/concern, but not yet.

That's crazy that 100 were sold and shipped and the first results were from another country that took longer to get there. Good old saying, if it ain't broken , don't try to fix it!
