04 Evo VIII SD, FP Red, Stock Block

So far we have only gotten to play with pump gas on the car with ethanol content being so low in the winter blend of eE85 (Doesn't even register as E70) we are sitting right around 25lbs of boost as of right now. There were a few boost leaks causing issues with the dyno graph which I have fixed, hopefully soon we can get it back on the rollers and get a better looking graph up.

There's more potential here for sure...get those leaks fixed and hopefully you'll make some more power. Nice exhaust manifold!!

Thanks for the comments guys, the goal with the car was to take care of everything I could outside of the motor to hopefully make it as efficient as possible while still capable of some good numbers as this is my DD. I have fixed all of the leaks as of right now so hopefully Monday we will be able to get the car back on the rollers and mess around with it more. The goal is mid - high 400s and some solid 11 second passes on street tires.

-Chance

Great numbers, gives me a good idea of what mine will do. I was looking at getting a bolt on FP turbo with stock motor. I don't have the manifolds and cams though that you have on your setup.

We will be doing a test within the next month with a stock manifold / Buschur ported manifold / and this full race manifold so I will be sure to post results from that in here. The FP turbos are great, this is my first Evo / Mitsu and I was a tad bit worried it wouldn't make the numbers I wanted at first but this thing is awesome the spool up time is great compared to the cars I have built in the past

So I started the car up the other day and noticed that after it was warm I was getting a little smoke from the exhaust tip and could smell some oil burning. Brought the car into the shop did a leak down and what not on it and it passed just fine. I pulled the exhaust manifold on it and saw oil in cylinder 1 and 3 and noticed the valve stems were oiled as well. long story short the valve stem seals took a **** so I replaced them with super tech seals, threw some Kiggly Racing springs and retainers in it to replace the factory pieces and also put the Kiggly Racing HLA in. We put the car back on the rollers without any changes to boost or anything and this is what we found. The green line is the most recent run, I still need to pull my throttle body apart to replace the seal in there as that is part of my boost leak but over all I'm very happy with the results.

I am about to drive it from KC to Dallas tomorrow and then on to Houston on Saturday so I will get it back on the rollers when I return and maybe play with the boost a little bit.

ChanceR, is the E85 tune with higher boost?
Or still 25psi?
My car is making 420whp on 23-24psi with the FP Red, and i'm thinking about tuning it on E85.

Cheers, Mike

Nice numbers! On e85 I made 520 and 416 @ 30psi running out of fuel at the top, stock bottom end, S2s, SD, stock bov(crushed), 64mm red, 1450's, and stock intake manifold. So u should pick up quite a bit with a solid e85 tune, but that stock rod tq limit is what I'm hating right now!
