why is the i beam rods holding you back for power i thought i beams were better for rpm and power.

I think 550whp is a ton on a road course, its not that he cant make more power with the combo he just wants more usable power. We have used I beams to make over 900whp in the past, so they are more than tough enough

so did he mean the h beams are holing him back then i just dont see how an i beam can hold you back i might be a little confused.

jeff,

Sorry I read the line in his post you are talking about. I disagree, the I beams are not holding it back. The Black will be the limiting factor well before the rods are ever an issue. Turbo Tuffs arent gonna break.

I apologize, I meant to write H beam rods not I beam, but basically what Aron is saying is right on the money. First off 550 at the wheels is an insane amount to road race with (but its allot of fun). And yes the FP black is really the biggest limiting factor.
