V.D results, sc61 kit, built engine 31psi 93 oct.

Well I dont know if the V.D dyno runs count but here it goes. If this does not count mods please delete.

I recently did a few things to the car and it really felt like it picked up good power. Most of the credit goes to the new buschur bf272s I installed in the car. I recently did a drop in piston wiseco h.d. pistons, eagle rods, bf 272s, and buschur valve springs. The car now seems to love pump gas and pulls great! The car previously put down 522 on the same boost with comp280s and a stock long block on a dyno jet. Onto to the results-

Full mods..
Wisco hd. pistons 9.1
Eagle rods
Buschur bf 272s
Buschur vavle springs
JMF drag intake mani
JMF intercooler pipes
JMF intercooler
Ets sc6152re turbo kit with a .63 hot side.
AFI 1000cc injectors.
Walboro 255 hp fuel pump
halman pro boost controller
s.d. tuned by me
93oct
31psi falling to 28 psi.

V.D seetings
weight- 3470, This is a full weight ssl car, it weighed in at 3489 with me in it.
Stock tire height

Nice gains from that new setup..How much power did you pick up per psi??Also why does you boost fall off with this setup its should be rock solid till redline.

Looking very good.... so 561 on straight 93 pump gas... 1000cc and a single pump? What were your IDC's? I would imagine extremely high

I dont know what it picks up per psi, I only used this v.d. dyno thing tonight for the first time. The car peaks 31 psi by 5k and falls to 27.7 by 8700. I think the .63 causes the drop in boost.

92 % duty cycle at peak. About 11.3-11.4 afr on my aem wideband. I dont expect the car to make this exact number. I know the car pulls a lot harder then it use to though. I will be hitting the local dyno again soon, hopefully the end of this week. Should be neat to compare the real dynojet to this simulator.

It would be nice to really see how it compared I did mine and it was within 3 whp.

I have a .63 and hold 30 psi till redline..I logged the car the other day and boost was lower due to hotter weather it was 28.5 from 5,100 rpms till 8,000rpms

That's a really smooth powerband especially since you're only using a factor of 2. Must be a flat/smooth road that you're doing your logging on

I know it holds 26-27psi out to ted line just fine. But up around 30-31 it drops a little bit. Maybe it has to do with the tune, I know I have seen my car drop boost as I add timing into it at times. I am at about 17degrees from like 8k on.

The road was pretty flat, its about the only one around though and covered on either side with trees. Lots of deer in my area so I really dont like making pulls there

Looks good, I'm debating doin drop ins or full build. Did you do it with motor in car and did you do balance shaft delete?

Thanks, Walt

I would not really recommend a drop in build. With that said I did mine in the car. I kept the balance shafts as well. Just new belts.

lol its a oldie but does the job. I have a .82 hot side sitting around for this turbo I may throw on sometime. It's just the turbo is in great shape, b.b., no smoke no muss no fuss so I plan on running it until the wheels fall off
