mikeys car is not ordinary. its absurdly optimized. this build is not that optimized. I'd like to see a similarily modified car make this kind of power. I cant believe pump is that lame compared to e70 or e85. the power gains from being knock free are amazing. Yet the pump numbers are still great.

sorry one quick question Gill,

what does the car feel like on the street? In regards to the transient response. Does it pull once your in 4k in first. Any major street/highway driveability differences potential fp black users should be aware of? How does it feel opposed to your red setup?

I'll let you know once I pick it up. Ha ha that's if the weather complies. It snowed here in Chicago 2 days ago. I only have summer tires; so I might have to park it until spring arrives. But no worries ill keep you posted.

Thanks again Mitch for an amazing tuning job. I am more than pleased with your work.

Here's the intrawebs world record holder thread
Interesting read.. However I just read that he has a 2.4 engine. 10.1 compression pistons, AEM and a ton of other goodies. I'd like to see how my car compares to a less severely modded one. However not to take away from that number.. That's quite a bit of power from a stock frame turbo.

Get the single scroll housing .92ar for your 2.0 set up, he made alot of power switching to that.

He doesn't have AEM, he has stock ecu also. no need for aem in these cars. i have a old graph of mine at 40psi if you wanna take a look.. but i have more mods then you.
since then engine is breathing way better so a good 30hp ontop of this hopefully. ecu boost + sd probably more also.. thats on maf yet. http://i55.tinypic.com/1zdwt3r.jpg edit: 2.0 to 2.3 though. i dont know how much difference it is with .3 liter. 8% diff maybe?

mine does.. but i have a ported head though.. i think some people will be impressed after they see the results mine does this summer. it did 660 last summer, and now its up 30hp more from then so around 690 (i hope). probably just jinxed myself.

Is it simply a matter of sending it in to FP and upgrading..? I didn't know they offered this service..

Honestly.. I'm going to sit and wait a bit on this power.. I don't want to feel too overwhelmed. I was driving at 450whp before and that was fun.. I'm not quite sure what to expect at 612whp..

My other concern is drive-ability and durability. I wouldn't mind giving up a few ponies if it means my motor will last a few thousand miles longer..

My goal for the year was to finally have a 10 second pass.. i've been told if I run it right I might even make a high 9 second pass.. so yea.. I'm happy.

.3 can make quite a big difference, not only in power but spool times.. I'm not exactly sure on what percentage but glad to see I'm up there in terms of high fp black percentile. I know eventually I will port the head, and also possibly get an aftermarket manifold and ignition coils.. I still just have the stock coils. Who knows.. maybe then I'll break some type of record.

Thanks for the congrats again everyone. Definitely couldn't have done it without the years of support and information I've read on this site.

I just noticed your graph is from a DynoJet.. The power I made was using AMS's new Mustang Dyno which read lower.. I've been told on a DynoJet my 612 would equate to around 660-680 depending on the dyno. Not sure anyone willing to chime in feel free.

Ya i ran 40psi on stock coils also.. but switched them out just cause i didnt trust them.. but the stock coils are pretty damn good when working right. 2.3 is fun, i can get full boost like a stock 8 turbo but then i have to shift early so its like .. blah.. having to shift early sucks. i know id have just as much fun in a 2.0

That is not something Fp did.. you would need to contact english racing in regards to that.. that was a mix of peoples work.. R/Ternie did the actual housing flange on the hotside i believe.

If last time you were in it with 450whp.. you're in for a big surprise.. you'll love your car all over again.
