2.3L on E85 FP-BLK / HTA-GRN / TME Power compare
Reading this thread made me change my mind on my build. I too am going with the 2.3 liter stroker with the exception of 10.5:1 pistons with milspec IM and TB , PPI ported IX turbo MAP stage 3 head FP4R cams should easily make 500whp DJ

I'm sorry if I missed it but what's your CR on the 2.3? What kind of headwork besides the S2 cams? I overlayed my old dyno graph to see how my stock 2.0\Red\M2\Meth\35psi stacks up and it's a joke.
My 2.0 gets it's butt kicked badly by both the Green and Black until 6500 where it pulls ahead of the Green. The Black makes more power everywhere on 5 less psi. I may make more than the Black if we both rev to 7500 and up but it's still no contest. I'm curious if it's anything else besides the +15% displacement contributing to this. I'm about to send you my 84mm Red to test out. lol I can't get over the superior powerband your car has over mine.
The Black makes:
60whp more at 3000 rpm
140whp more at 3500 rpm
178whp more at 4000 rpm
79whp more at 4500 rpm
BTW, It looks like you should try throwing in an extra degree of timing in your maps around 5k.

^ Thanks.
cr is ~10.7..... i forget exactly.
Yeah, 15% larger counts for a lot!
cylinder head is ported by me.... all porting is done by me actually... all seat work performed on a serdi.
I prefer a meaty powerband vs. peak power.
my car wont take my timing @ 5k.
if you want to send it, we can work something out.... iam about to conduct a cam compare within the next week or 2, so i could get to it after that.
is your red ported? what w/g actuator, 18 or 25lbs?

I cant wait for my 2.3 to be finished. It looks like even with the rather weak TME it still beats the 2.0 Red meth combo in power right up to 4500 and as far as torque its making way more than the 2.0 . I think I'm going to try the 71HTA as it being such a good bargain and I only have to drive down the road to FP to swap it out.
^ Yeah, I feel like I'm driving around in an antiquated 1920's Model T. lol I have a 2.4 shortblock to install and I could do an updated graph with basically the same mods. I am no longer running meth though but I could use C16 or E85.
If this is the power delivery with a 15% increase (2.0 -> 2.3 litres), I wonder what the benefit of an extra 4.34% (2.3L -> 2.4L) and higher would be compared against the graph.. What about a Brian Crower 2.6L Stroker Kit?
I assume this would bring out new bottlenecks in one's setup. A 2.6/Black should spool as quick as the Green on Aby's graph though I'm not sure what it'd look like up top.

7,400 rpm rev limit for 30% more displacement over stock.. I'm almost fine with that! Though I think the max revs for the block are ~8k. No clutches to get locked out of, no expensive valve train. Gearing would suffer though. A 2.6 has 13% more displacement over the 2.3. That's a percent difference about as large as Aby's dyno graph compared to mine.
2.4's can rev to 8,500, that's quite a weapon for 20% displacement over stock. Moving from 2.4 to 2.6, you're losing a 500 rpm rev range to gain an extra 8.3% displacement.

Looks like he was only running slightly over 25psi on the TME too
