2.4L + 6262 + 89oct = amazing power

This customer first needed a "failsafe" map made before we turned on the methanol injection, so this is his fail safe map with straight 89OCTANE fuel and running on external wastegate pressure, which has a 22psi spring.

Boost Curve displayed on dyno sheet for reference. Hitting a max of 25.4psi at redline. Outside temp is 77F.

All I can say is the 6262 is one bad *** turbo.. it has slightly laggier spool then a hta86, but hits hard as hell.

I had no idea this turbo was capable of such high horsepower on such crappy fuel. This is 100% straight 87-89 OCTANE no meth no nothing yet..

Mods: (2001 EVO 7 GSR)
Self Built 2.4L (9.0-9.3 CR)
Ported head
Precision 6262 (.63 AR)
Shearer T3 Manifold - Small Runner
Shearer 02 housing
turbonetics 38mm external wastegate
Buschur Lower piping
Buschur Upper piping
Buschur Double Pumper
Buschur Intake Pipe with filter
Buschur 65mm TB
Buschur Race Intercooler
FIC Bluemax 1050cc
JUN 272 camshafts
GSC Beehive springs
ARP headstuds
Mildly Ported Intake Manifold
Hallman in-car boost controller
Forge RS BOV
Ebay 3" turbo back exhaust with no cat
Exedy Twin HD
Aquamist HFS5 (2) 1.0mm jets (not being used yet)

This is with 11 flat AFR uptop and 11* timing
Zero knock across the board.. not even 1 count.

Nice results. Your customer only has 89 octane available to him?

I was talking to Tom about this customer before...I think he lives in the Caribbean or something, that's the highest octane he can get. Good job Tom. Usually shops that sell meth also sell higher octane gases than normal stations, maybe higher octane if available is just too expensive to daily drive but even 500hp is nice

it keeps making more power the higher you rev it.. hes gonna rev out to 8500 when he races, but only doing 7500 for now.. but ill have him rev it out for the final tuning pulls.

doing the meth tunes now/tonight.
