AWD Bulit FP Black LR2.4 (VD graph inside)

My Evo got built at AWD Motorsports. Mods are in my sig. On their dyno it 505hp/460tq on 93 oct@ 24.5 psi. Q16 map did 615hp/550tq@30psi. I wanted to see how this VD program was so I did some 4th gear pulls and this is what I got. For some reason the 93 map on the VD and my log from evoscan is boosting higher than it was tuned for. I guess because their is more load on the street than on the dyno. Haven't got to go to the track yet. I want to but 1st gear is nothing but spinning all 4's. It boost so quick in that 1st gear that you have to have fast ninja skills.

***I hope Mike@AWD could chime in do the review and maybe post up that video of it on the dyno.***

But here is my VD graph I did on a 4th gear pull. Hope you all like and please comment if you want.

My log on Evoscan stayed within 26psi then it went up to 30 at the end of the 4th gear pull. Is that boost creep? It didn't go passed 30 on the log.

Congrats on the new engine. That's incredible low RPM torque. Let's see the Q16 graph too. I'm sure its lots of fun on the street. Be safe. Let me know when you are going to the drags - I'll join you.

Not according to your VD graph above which is straight from your Evoscan graph. It's showing 36 psi to to around 37psi. Unless you log your boost to another channel header.

Would my omni 4 bar map give me the right boost readings? That's what I saw on my log as being 26psi up to that 30 psi. It was off the 4 bar map sensor. I have a grim speed ebc. Don't know how to put that in my evo scan for logging. Some step by step help on doing this would be helpful.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...evo-8-9-a.html

read the end:

<DataListItem DataLog="Y" Color="" Display="OMNI MAP" LogReference="OMNIMAP" RequestID="38" Eval="FORMULA HERE" Unit="psig" MetricEval="" MetricUnit="" ResponseBytes="1" GaugeMin="-15" GaugeMax="35" ChartMin="-15" ChartMax="35" ScalingFactor="1" Notes=""/>

for evoscan. make sure you set the eval accordingly.. florida would be 14.7 since its right at sea level just about.

be careful .. if the cars really seeing that high of boost pressure uptop you are overspinning the turbo and it will not last long once its pushed past the limit.

if you have anything over 90% wgdc in your map on the rom i would lower it.. thats really asking for trouble with the fp black. 34-35psi would be the max pressure you want at redline from a fp black.. anymore and its riding the limitations of the turbos efficiency and maximum shaft speeds.
==

looks to me its logging a bogus top row with invalid column data. hopefully the link i pasted gets you all setup. if not you can always contact your tuner at AWD to get it taken care of. great setup tho.. 2.3-2.4 + fp black = fun fun fun

The omni 4 bar reads your boost, not the EBC. Maybe your 4 bar formula is off some how.

Nice powerband

I always though max boost for a fp black was somewhere between 40-42lbs

Would that .2 make that big of a difference?
