Quote: hi
no just got the tune completed last week. seems like the green, red and black on pump are getting roughly the same whp at least that is what i have seen on this forum, Chris at Mellontuning mentioned this too. also your figures are on a mustang dyno, right? which reads lower
Quote: Yeah, 395whp on our dyno equates to roughly 450whp on a dynojet, thats why I asked.
Hey guys, we commonly see 430's on 93 octane with the Green/Red/Black since they fuel is the limiting factor with the restrictive 9 hotside on each of those. Occasionally we have a freak like Zach's that can do 450 but it's rare. (these are dynojet numbers). The software we use is setup to read closest to a Dynojet and we've had several customers test this. The results for the horsepower are usually dead on and the tq in our software is usually a little low on average. It's a great tool for tuning when you don't have a dyno available and being on the street it's real world.

this was on 93, when ever i mess with E85 its only on the street just to get it ready for the track the following day

How do you like the Red for daily driving, spool up and all that turbo goodness?

I need a new turbo, my White finally called in dead and I think this would probably better suit my needs if the street manners are not to bad

@silver9mr, nice man those are good numbers, yea i feel ya here in cali im about 5 miles from an e85 station, but mine stays on pump gas all the time, havent saved up for an e85 tune, plus 880s and one walbro wont cut it haha.
@Dennis F, to compare i hit 26 psi of boost before my setup change right around 4000, the lag on it really isnt bad, these people that say yada yada boost lag, not enough half a second difference in full boost hitting between a stock 9 or an hta green compared to a red....however the red will give u a bit more top end. my 0.02

lol^^ yea i agree on the whole "omg the red is soo laggy" its not that bad, i think i see full boost around the 4.5k area and if it dont spool up fast enough i can just down shift ;-).

But to answer your question, Yes i love the turbo on the street and it sounds great. But this is my last season with it as i just purchased a 6262 cause i want more power :-)

Thanks for that

I have only had one evo with a green come through and it had other issues that kept me from tuning it fully.

After tuning so many 6262's on 2.0L evo's, the Red feels like instant spool lol. If you are happy with 380-420whp (Mustang dyno) on 93 octane, the Red is the way to go.
