Stock turbo e85 reese tuned.
The highest HP car we have done a stock turbo was done yesterday at our shop. Ryans car put down 430tq and 429 whp and it has run a best of 10.5@128 so far with about 40 less hp. Thanks to Reese for sending us a set of thier cams to try out in this thing. Between those and swapping to the 9 turbo we were able to find some pretty good gains while moving the power band right.

This torque is totally attainable with this configuration on a MD. You might not see it as often since some tuners and/or customers prefer to keep peak torque lower when running a stock block.
Great Job James...and EM! lol

Lets hear more about these Reese tuning 276 cams. I have not heard of this option yet. Do you have specs available? I am assuming mivec grinds are available. Price would be great as well - sorry to thread jack.
Back on topic, impressive results. Does anyone have any thoughts on the peak torque, stock block and gear - I always hear 400wtrq as the threshold but I feel that low RPM torque is more what breaks parts. All out on the track first gear the motor is not taking as much of the abuse if you push the trqq into the 450 ish range. And then from that point on the high trq levels are only in the high rpm range.
I think 450 trq vents rods through stock blocks when crusing at 70 in 5th and flooring it. Or crusing at 50 in 4th and going WOT. Just a thought.

at 445tq a lot of people say thats crazy on stock turbo/block/cams. I dont know much about the theory behind it. but i was tuned to 401/445 by one of the more reputable shops in the midwest. i dont know what to think.
For info on the Reece cams give us a call at the shop. They are only available for the 8 at this point. When I get a chance we will get them on our site with a little more info.
Thanks

EVO 8 RT276KK cams is a 276 duration cam. The lift is 11.1mm both intake and exhaust. The center line will not be spoke of. They are a great cam for big power when utilizing ethanol.
