Should have taken it to doug in vegas, he has a better dyno for one and has more experience with evo's from what I can tell.

^ think that might be a typo, maybe suppose to be 65mm and just fat fingered it

nice numbers but top end seems to be the main topic here.

We see several limiting factors to the top end of the car. First the turbo has a .63 A/R T3 hot side which is choking it off a bit up top. The cams were degreed, we retarded both cams to try to get more top end but the turbo is running out of breath and choking off. From the looks of it the head is not ported either. I nice head job and a bigger .82 hot side would help a lot.

.63 AR on a 2.3? That isn't something for an evo. And according to D sport the head was ported.

I'd say with better cams, bigger hotside, and a ported head that thing would make even more power and have insane top end. What boost was this at? And how does this dyno read compared to others? I wasn't even aware dynocom made a hub based dyno.

Devin - Tristan,

With the amount of boost your running I would say that the valves are floating as it only has BC springs & Ti retainers.

If you want to run more that 35psi I would switch to Kiggly Beehive Springs and zero the cams back out. The head does have a very mild stage 1 port job with Ferrea stock sized valves. If you need some Kiggly Springs I have them in stock, give me a call 720-214-5095.

Anyways good job and enjoy the car.

Valve float...... The back pressure in the exhaust is double the pressure in the intake manifold. So with 100 psi of pressure in the manifold it is holding the valves open there for causing the HP and TQ to drop off. At 33 psi of boost the HP carried to red line and the torque didn't drop nearly as much as there were no signs of valve float.

Obviously if the valves were not floating the Peak HP number would be higher than where its at, as the power fell on its face above 6500.

New valve springs are waiting to be installed.
