BBK full - Stock block- Speed density - E85

Great response from this lil "badboy turbo".

This car peaked 495hp on the first pull,,, We actually worked backwards and moved to reduce the power/tq in order to keep the rods happy...

Mods list
Stock Block
gsc s2 cams
Ams intercooler
BBK full
Ets intake and ic pipes
28psi -- e85
E-Spec tuned ecu with SD
( Dual fuel mode implemented for the emergency pump gas days.)

This car needs some pistons and rods to make this combo complete. I'd love an opportunity to crank this sob up!
The tq is instantaneous and makes for a real fun street car!!

Hm. Good numbers. Makes me wonder why I didn't get one of these.

Is that the totality of the mod list? No TBE, porting or upgraded manifolds? Looks like at least a COP kit there too.

There are the usual round of supporting mods. I tend to list the "major components" of the combo for simplicity of the post.

Agreed 100%... Question is how much better would this combo be on a 2.3/2.4 motor?

Thumbs up

great write up Erkel!!!! It was a pleasure working with you!! Great customer satisfaction!!! complete mods as follows.

-CBRD BBK Full
-AMS Front mount
-ALL ETS PIPING (short route)
-GSC S2 cams
-Supertech vavle springs and retainers
-ARP headstuds
-AMS fuel rail
-950 FIC injectors
Bucshur ported exhaust manifold (coated by TCC)
MIL-SPEC 65mm ported TB
MIL-SPEC ported intake manifold
Aermotive Stealth pump w/ STM rewire kit
Tial 50mm BOV
MAP 02 dump
ETS mini battery kit
MAP SS heat shield
Fuel Lab fuel pressure regulator
omni 4bar
spooling-up COP

I want to thank Erkel and everybody at Tach motor sports. You guys are really nice and sincere. I felt very welcomed in there. Almost like I was family. Also want to Thank LINE IT UP PERFORMANCE and all my friends that really help me put this car together. Unfortunately yesterday I went to the track and only ran a best time of 12.2 at 111MPH.. My Twin disk is slipping in 1,2,3 gear and than 4th it went crazy slipping. I think its the adjustment on my STM Clutch fork stop as it was a newly installed exedy twin disk(properly broken in). I know the car will be coasting into the 11s. The car is full weight GSR all seats, spare, AC power steering ETC.. 3400 pound car (w/me). I will take a look today or tomorrow at the clutch fork stop and if its that and were gripping, test and tune is where you will find me. I will be breaking 11s before the season is over for sure.

wow..With that much power on the table, the car should run a 11.3 all day at 126/.

Thanks for the positive review--- Line-it-up performance did an awesome job on your build!! I was at the track yesterday and caught a couple of your passes on vid--- We could hear your clutch slipping all the way up,,,lmao

Take a look at the clutch fork stopper-- If you can't slip a credit card between the head of the bolt and the fork, it's too tight! This needs to be checked periodically.

Good luck with your baby...... Pistons and rods = 10sec machine!!

Great job on the tune Erkel! I'm sure the car is a ton of fun...With a good clutch it should run low 11s no problem!

Im most positive its the clutch fork stop I will be taking a look at it tomorrow or tuesday. Just taking a break from the car for a day a two. These past couple days been hectic trying to get the car ready for the track for the event on saturday. The car is for sure in the 11s I ran a 12.2 at 110 mph throwing it into 5th gear lol. First time the track in this car should of realized something wasn't right throwing into 5th.. Little adjustment and back to the track it is. The clutch has 700 miles on it. Its a brand new exedy twin HD.

Will be checking it out in a few days. Line-it-up performance did a great job the owner Cristian is actually one of my best friends. Good dude.

Pistons and rods will definitely be in my inventory for the 2012 season.

the power curve is meaty between 6500-7500. to me that indicates it will respond well to stroke increase.

the BBK turbo has more pretty dyno graphs than possibly any turbo on these boards. both 2.0 and 2.3. its a small enough turbo to not be too fussy about having perfect setup. and large enough to flow enough air to make 550tq/550whp on well setup stroker.

simply awesome turbo choice for a streetcar that gets driven.

thanks for your kind words guys-

We appreciate it-

problem is- we are low on bbk's at the current price before the MHI price hike hits us! yikes!

I just did one the other day that made 422whp on our dyno on 93- at only 26.6 psi- the last bbk full that made that- went 11.1-11.2 I believe? I dont know- I dont drag race LOL

car was mega on the street!
