I am friends with Kailen (RockmanX) and just to clear things up (unless he changed his plans in mid-stride), JMS installed an engine that he had sent to the shop.

Yes, more power can obviously be made based on the AFRs.

Thank you for the link.

Great job to JMS and fabcas311. You guys are definitely on your way to some quick times (if you plan to run the car at strip).

How's the difference in driveability going from fast spooling to a black

Well, the FP Black is still stock frame, so quick spooling is a subjective term.

How far on the tune did you guys go? Was this on the edge or what?

Kinda disappointing for me. I just traded my hta green for a black, but on the green I made 506/477 on 30psi with a lot less lag. I was hoping for 550+ on the black around 30psi

500hp on e85 fp black is an average number , the ones that u see that are making more are usually on more boost than that.

Boost,

The numbers are fine since there are some parts that havent been changed for a few more gains. Also, increasing the boost would be too much for stock block as it will make much more power at say 34 psi. The torque would be overkill and throw a rod

This is what it is all about, tuning for the enjoyment of the customer.

As long as the torque stays down low you can increase the boost , there are quite a few 600 hp mid to low 400 ft lb tq evo's around that have been runnin hard for awhile with no issues. A friend of mine locally made 524 on 32 psi i believe and was also tuned by JMS racing, was good for multiple 10 second passes and had no issues.
