replaced hta green with dbb black

well the hta green did not like the 2.3 so i switched to the dbb black, anyhow need to do some more upgrades on the fuel system as i ran out of pump up top at 28psi.
I settled on 28 psi with really poor pump gas (91 octane) and meth. happy with the results considering it has a 2.5inch old hks exhaust, stock fpr etc. Will get around to sorting those things out then retune with a bit more boost.

mods are

self built 2.3 weisco pistons, manley rods
hks 272 cams
meth injection
stock springs and valves
mild port on the head
sparktech cop
fp dbb Black, 25psi wastegate non ported
map o2 dump
precision 780cc injectors
Power fc l jetronic
act street and strip clutch
walbro 255 (really old and seems to be causing some problems)
stock exhaust manifold
s90 throttle body on stock manifold

Happy with the black, power is very smooth and has nice midrange, I know i could get a lot more but as we dont have a track and I do some autocross events it seems good for now.

Solid TQ for a Black. Looks like a fun setup.

Edit: Replace those cams with S2s and I think you'd be a very happy man.

Nice car! Looks like some better fuel and a better FMIC would help you out. Enjoy.

Thanks guys I forgot it had a 3.5 ets intercooler and custom pipe work, that was done so long ago I forgot. Isn't that what we all do, try to forget how much money we spent on the projects.

As someone here said " my biggest fear is to die and my wife sells all my stuff for what I told her I paid for it"

Anyway you are right about the cams but I had them so used them back, I know the s2's would help a lot. Who knows maybe down the line

I hope I have the same results on my setup, can't wait!

Agh I just noticed it's on meth injection, and 2.3... Was it dropping off power up top a lot?

It ran out of pump so that's why it was dropping off. My intention is to shift by 7000 anyway. Changing pump soon will let you know

3700rpm 300tq from black is really good. and more torque than hp at such low boost. would like to see the update when you switch to a larger exhaust. you must be only guy on the planet with a 2.5 in exhaust and a black. sure doesnt look like its hurting spool or torque to me. looks like its helping.

did the pump and added a fpr, boost jumped to 30 psi without any other adjustments. Exhaust this week. car feels much better up top now than before.

Put it back on the dyno. I'd like to see the gain.

Could you say more about this please? Obviously that setup would run out of steam up top but the torque had to be a blast.
