evo 8 stock block 93oct fp red bb speed density .
when its a good run and everything is good you shouldn't have more then 8whp change from smoothing 1 and max and there should be no humps present anywhere.
what version vd are you using to see 0 smoothing? 1.1.9? if so i can show you an example of a good smoothing 0 road feedback if you want.

ok i dont recall if 1.1.8 has 0 smoothing option or not but its a great feature for diagnosing the road to see if its worthy to tune on or not.
heres an example of good & bad.. the blue line is what you're looking for.. when you get a road like that you're good to go.. and your numbers from smoothing 1- max will be within 5-10hp variance everytime as long as car doesn't detonate or misfire.
the red is bad.. will inflate the number even if you smooth it out it will still be inflated.. it may look real when oversmoothed but it is not accurate since its a genuine spike.
just look at all the graphs i been posting up you will get a feel for how it should be with minimal smoothing.. i wont post a graph anymore even if it has a hint of a spike in it.

Thanks for chiming in Tscomp. OP - I had the same experience when I started using VD and thought I had more WHP than I really did. VD is a GREAT tuning tool and I use it often but when used incorrectly it can provide misleading results (usually inflated). Again, I think you are right around 450whp (5-10whp give or take) with your setup on pump gas at 26-27lbs. Goodluck!
Ok, most of the pulls I've done in the past do resemble the blue line. I've had some that looked like the red but they were always out of the "norm" I had been seeing with the car(with my normal 3 smoothing that I generally use), therefore I just ignored it.
I will get some more pulls of his car and check them, I still think it's going to be higher than 450 tho, as I have a friend with a 2.3/red setup that made 440 on a dynojet(conservative tune), and it has a little more *** than that one. We will see tho, I've been wrong many times before, it's how we learn
