Confused evo 8 only 279hp!!

Hello guys, I have an Evo 8 2005 ,today I went to the dyno to tune the car. before tune it has 212hp and after the tune I end up with 279hp. Im kind of sad for this, I have a friend here with evo 8 and pulls 307hp just with invidia catback, tuned and Intake. I dont know why my pulled 279hp. I have GSC 272/272 injen intake , walbro 255, skunk2 catback, hallmart MBC, turbosmart BOV , boost at 20 psi and 8000rpm and 91 oct fuel. Can anyone tell me what can be the problem? or Do I need to make other adjustments or put other parts? thanks

so your upset because you made 67 hp at the wheels from exhaust and cams? Those are your only real power mods out of what you listed.

Why are reving out to 8k rpm? There's no freakin point with your listed mods and stock turbo. Your title says Evo 8, but the sig says Evo 9, which one?

What type of dyno? Your tuner should have an idea of what a stock car makes on that dyno for a general comparison.

Are you using a reputable tuner?

i had a similer set up the diffrence being i had a IX turbo(10.5) and i made 359 with GSC S2s.... and i made 325 with just the IX turbo, i would venture to say some thing is wrong and maybe a compression test and some other trouble shooting is in order.

What kind of dyno?

Have you made sure your car is/was in great running condition ie boost leak test done, comp test done, new plugs.

Last, you should be using some more boost.

Did you do a boost leak test before going to get tuned?
