Boostin Performance - 35R on E85 - 636 WHP
This car came to us with some drivability problems and part throttle issues. Often times its very time consuming getting an AEM EMS car to drive really nice / stock like. WOT tuning is easy, but tuning drivablity is more important for a street car and the key to sending a customer home happy with their tune.
We were able to smooth out drivability and make some great power on top of it.
We ended up making this power @ 36-38 psi. Going any higher in boost gave us sligthly higher TQ #'s but HP was locked around the 630 HP mark and the HP curve was very very flat. The customer is looking to upgrade to a 6466 turbo in the very near future.
Mods:
Built 2.0L, 9/1 compression
Tomei 280 cams, Supertech Dual Valve springs, unported head
Stock IM and TB
AMS turbo kit
Garrett GT3582R
ID 2000's
Aeromotive Eliminator fuel pump
AEM EMS S1
Stock ignition, plugs gapped @ .017

Most likely. I have an ams kit with the smaller housing and a hta86 turbo. I will be tuning on e85 this spring. I cant wait to see the numbers this turbo will spit out with the smaller housing. I know it will kill some top end, but its still a street car, so spoolup is important and so far, I love the spoolup I get on pump!

Once u put a bigger turbo and you're moving a lot more air that ignition will never keep up. Frankly I'm surprised it went this far on E85. Should be really fun to drive though!
that is prolly why the gap is so small now prolly ran it fairly rich to those are great numbers.

He needs to upgrade for sure, but .017 is a small gap and thats what is getting it done

No, its got a 38mm off the turbine housing. Its a AMS T3 turbo kit, they have the wastegate off the turbine housing instead off the manifold.

Yes, its a standard 3582R with a .63 A/R
