BOOSTED TUNING Custom Dyno Tune - 2.1L/FF 6765/SD on E85
EVO 8
MAP 2.1L (Manley TT & Wiseco pistons)
MAP stg 3 head
Kelford 280 cams
FF 6765
AFI FF manifold
FFTec Intake mani
70mm TB
ETS 4" IC
3" TBE, no Cat
2150s & Full Blown Double Pumper
Sparktech non CDI COP
Speed Density and ECU boost
TEMPS - 102-105F
Seems like there may be something holding it back. The client didnt get a chance to boost leak test it before meeting at the dyno, so it may have a boost leak. Also, the 100*+ temps dont help.
E85 @ 38psi tapering to 36psi

Here is a Tuned vs the baseline (same boost, different tune from another shop)

I wasn't doing the driving/dyno'ing, just the tuning. The dyno operator was using the dyno brake to stop the car/run. So I dont know if thats why its falling off or another issue. I think/feel that the car possibly has a boost leak. It may have another issue else where too. The client is gonna boost leak test and probably come back for more tuning.
Also, the high temps in the dyno room didnt help. It was high as 110-113* at times (temps quoted in op are what it was during those exact runs).
The client was just happy that he made 60-80hp more then his old tune.

Yep can't wait. Boosted tuning A+ and a great guy . Did a great job with my car considering the hot weather! Going to do the boost leak test and get it tuned soon again on a cooler day. Keep you all updated. If you have any suggestions on what is possibly holding me back, please chime in! Thanks!

if you have a boost leak, that would explain everything. that's the cheapest and easiest thing to check... most likely reason too. Jay: if this were still a MAF car, you would know right away?
if it's not a boost leak, then time to start working down the list. good luck, hope it's something simple, and still awesome numbers!

Yeah it would, a friend of mine has a tester with a 4 inch inlet and I'm meeting up with him on Wednesday. I also believe the hot weather had a lot to do with it. There's not much ventilation in the dyno room and even when spraying the intercooler with ice water, it was still burning hot to the touch. Thanks! And yeah the numbers are still awesome, car pulls really good!
Yep small world norcalSRTrida. Nice meeting you today. You definitely have a beast car yourself! Can't wait to see it finished.
Rs03evo, I know! Jay definitely is an awesome tuner!
Kaj, I just did the boost leak test today and fixed some stuff. It was definitely leaking! Took the car out today in the hot 98 degree heat and picked up another 3 psi. Can't wait to hopefully see 700+ on Friday morning when I put it back on the dyno. I'll be sure to keep everyone posted!
