That's awesome! Makes me sad my 8 makes the same on pump with turbo and cams. The 9 really does work magic with the stock turbo. Does the 9 have the same concern with the 400 ftlbs danger of a stock bottom end?

Those are the basics but if you're still on a stock motor then I'd recommend checking out an ECU based boost setup. Your tuner will be able to fine tune the torque curve to make things a little less stressful so you don't end up turning your block into swiss cheese.

This exactly.

I was concerned about the emanent death of my stock bottom end, but when you are controlling boost pressure via load and rpm you get a much safer environment.

I, like most people on evom, liked staying away from the 400 lbtq limit margin, but now I really do believe it's all in the tune.

Yes, as long as you know how to properly launch ( if you do launch) and there is no dangerous torque spike. The evo's 5 speed is very tough. It's like beef jerky left out in the sun for 10 decades or supermans cape.

The 6 speed transmission in my friends evo 9 mr is a joke. Sometimes when I drive it, and try to put it in reverse. It feels like theirs no option for reverse.

I need your intercooler setup that's what's holding mine back from the 400hp range. I just got my dual map done.
