Its is an every other weekend car, if I even take it out then. And I realy never get into it unless I am getting pestered by another car or taking a friend on a joy ride.

ive done some over 500 with almost 160K on them and stock head bolts / gasket seal still. The thing is though, every car is different. one might have been kept stock for all its life, while another one modified a lot, then put back to stock, then sold, then you get it all stock thinking it was never modded, and so forth.

These cars attract people who love to mod cars and usually like to go fast and want a performance based machine, so you have to be careful when deciding what you want to do with a vehicle with high mileage on it.

First thing i would do is a compression test and leakdown test and go from there. if its a healthy engine then id say go for it. (you already did).

It is very true. The way you drive the car plays a huge role in how it holds up also at higher power levels.
