Ben's 741whp 2.3L 6466
Ben has been a customer of ours since he was 16. While that might sound like an exaggeration he brought his first Evo IX with meth injection to us and hasnt gone anywhere else since. After owning several Evos since we became friends, he settled on an Evo 8 a few years ago and has been building and modifying it since. 4 years ago we built a stock crank 2.3 for him with just off the shelf stuff intending it to be a stock turbo or stock appearing turbo.
One thing led to another and before you know it the car had a 3586, a sheetmetal intake, and custom kit. That eventually managed to make 713 but had a really peaky powerband.
FFWD to today-
Switching to a Magnus V5 and a custom All Fab long tube top mount kit, the 6466 with a twin scroll 1.15 housing really came alive.
Mods-
ER 2.3L
OE 100mm crank shaft
Wiseco 1400HD 9:1 2.3 pistons
Eagle rods
ER Race port cylinder head
GSC S3 camshaft set
Supertech valves
Fuel Injector Clinic 2150cc injectors
Double pumper fuel system
Magnus V5
Boomba 75mm TB
3" UICP
E85
Omnipower 4bar
Stock ECU
Precision 6466 with 1.15 TS
All Fab long tube top mount forward facing turbo kit
AEM Tru Boost boost contol
Dyno Sheet-

Ben also has full exhaust for the car with an ER testpipe dump, but for the video and limited street use he drives it with the hood exit exhaust. It is pretty rowdy on the street and the dyno sheet doesnt quite do it justice.

If you mean has someone gone through it and put the best ratios from all the years and build what is a essentially an Evo 6...yes it has our version of that. We have made 600 ft lbs on eagle rods in a Mitsu and spun them to 9600.
I have never heard of these great benefits that the EVO6 delivers. Can someone post a link for me to "get smart" on this? I have always known about the EVO9 1st gear in the EVO8. What else am I missing?

Page 2 highlights it, they list 4 and 5 as well but as near as I have found in JDM CAPS its just the 6.
All cars have stock transmissions unless they have a dogbox.

The "ultimate" ratio transmission is just the Evo 6 stock gear ratios. In the USDM market the VIII was geared one way and the IX the next. By combining the IX first with the VIII 3 and 4th you end up with the stock ratios for the 6. Least amount of drop between gears and the most mph in 4th gear of the bunch.
