Evo ix in Australia only making 207hp

Hi guys I'm new to evo's. My ix just got tuned today only making a measley 207hp(155kw). It's got a tomei dump and full greddy exhaust. Plazmaman cooler piping and a grimmspeed 3 port boost controller. I'm not entirely happy with the power outcome as I have read stock they make around 225hp(170kw). Any help or recommendations as to why it would only make this sort of power. The tuner said his dyno dynamics dyno always reads low

Bone stock they make 220... Tuned i made 320... No parts on the car at all just a tune...

If its not breaking up knocking or idling poorly i'd look for a boost leak... And probably a new tuner... Would be the first time i've seen a tuner sand bag a tune to sell your new parts and a retune...

This is the dyno graph from the tune, as you can see it spikes at 19 and settles on 17.5.

This I think is the lowest I have seen a pretty much stock evo do especially a 9?
I don't understand why the boost is still at stock 19? Get someone else proper to tune the car turn the boost up a little more and check for boost leaks before retuning make sure there is no leaks from your bov this tends to be overlooked good luck buddy.
I would atleast do an upgraded fuel pump before turning the boost up.

Just curious if that tuner has ever done evo's before. Not saying he doesn't know how to tune, just maybe the dyno isn't setup right. I know on our mustang dyno you have to setup a parasitic draw so the dyno knows how much drag the transmision has. This can change your numbers dramatically depending on how it's done. I'd be more worried about how the car runs and feels rather than the number.

I asked to goto 22, the tuner told me there was no power difference between 18/22. I have a walbro 255 in it. Don't get me wrong it drives way better then it did. Though the numbers are down

I would look at local boards for other owners with reviews of other tuners, this one does not know how to tune a EVO. There's a huge difference between 18-22psi, you should also take it easy until you find a reputable tuner.

Evo's aren't a massive thing in aus like you guys have in the states, ozevo barely gets used as there is not as much interest in them here. So finding a reputable tuner within a decent distance is aus is impossible unfortunately

i also agree with the above comment..

your new to the evo world mate there is plenty of support, local and the like. plenty of companies still refining parts for the evolution.

OZEVO died years ago evolutionoz.net and also evo squad on Facebook

https://www.facebook.com/BeNchmarkEvolutionSolutions - Look up this guy Mr Benjamin Perry for a tune... He’s able to Flex Fuel Tune your standard ECU that will waken her up

You're in Sydney are you? I'm on the Gold Coast. There is barely anyone up here that do them, and mercury Motorsport I don't trust because of previous work they've done for me

I'm hoping it is just a massive boost leak somewhere. I'll do the test tomorrow and see how I go.

You should be seeing at least 210 - 230 KW ATW for those mods with boost of 22 - 24 PSI peak and taper, assuming everything mechanically is OK, your running pump 98 (USA 93) fuel and AFR's in the mid 11's.

I'm in Brisbane, PM me if you want.
