500HP Evo 8 FP white ;)

I have been playing with this Evo for a bit now making steps to hit 500WHP on a mustang dyno. I made 424HP/392Tq on pump gas 93. I just did a cylinder head test(basic port work/valve job), JUN 272's, and dropped some E85 into her and I am going to mess with it more tonight. I have modded stock intake that we did up to test as well.

03 BBY EVO 8
FIC 1100s
Wally 255
JUN 272s
Built 2.0L(K1 rod/Wiseco piston 8.8:1CR)
Built head(Kiggly street spring, Stock valve, bowl work, valve job)
Stock EVO 5 unported exhaust manifold
Stock Evo 9 intake manifold
MAP o2 w/Thermal R&D TBE
Treadstone 1035 intercooler
Short route custom intercooler piping
Perrin intake
Omni 4 bar

Tuned by me on 3DSD stock ecu with switchable maps. Working on the VE up top. Should have it fully tuned on E85 this week

Are you trying to make 500 WHP on mustang dyno on a fp white? Isn't the white smaller then a green? Even on e85 500 whp I think would be hard on a white.

Clean car & looking forward to your intake manifold test. Nice power for an FP White! Any plans to to get track times to go with these dyno #s soon??

These numbers achieved on an FP White are pretty impressive. Take into consideration that the White's 68mm HTA compressor wheel is smaller and moves less air than that of the 71 HTA, which flows 51 lbs/min. Both the White and the 71 HTA are configured with the stock MHI 16G(VIII & IX) turbo's TD05HR turbine wheel.

Recall as well that originally the White's 68mm compressor wheel was designed by FP as an HTA aero upgrade comp wheel for the OS Green. Unfortunately, during testing when coupled with the OS Green's turbine wheel, the 68mm HTA wheel showed no significant power gains over the Green's original comp wheel..

So, at that point the 68mm HTA comp wheel was a lame duck. It was not until Robert paired the wheel with the stock TD05HR MHI turbine wheel that voila, the FP White was born and Robert had another winner.

The OS Green flowed 47-49lbs/min whereas the 71 HTA flows 51lbs/min. The White's HTA 68mm wheel must flow right about 49-50 lbs., huh? It really doesn't flow more air than an OS Green and definitely less than a 71 HTA. So, the OP's power figures are truly impressive.

Ya this wheel is maxed out it seems. I have about 60 WGDC at 4-5k and 90 @ 7k trying to keep boost solid. The cams and head work seemed to help out much more with a bigger cam(makes sense considering the biggest gains at higher lift numbers). I am trying to make the engine more efficient at the higher RPM now. The intake is not your normal cut the back side of the plenum and just smooth it out. We cut the entire plenum off at the runners, Increased the size of the plenum, blended the runners, fixed the short side radius to number 4 and welded here back up. Its pretty clear how bad it is up top. Ve is about 125ish around that 4-5k mark and about 103-105 at 7k. Next up is the exhaust manifold with some anti reversion because we all know the back pressure is def high above 6k.

actually the fp white, 71hta, and 68hta are all different names for same compressor wheel. the compressor wheel never changed. just the name. 450whp is a typical maxed out flow although some really flying setups have made 490whp with it. dynojet numbers.

So, if this is right, then the 71 HTA, and the FP White are the same turbo. But, somewhere along the line FP did a name morph though.

Same cold side + same hotside = same turbo.

Apparently this is a 69-2 wheel? Thats what was on the wheel and with Mike @ FP told me when I bought it. Im guessing a 69mm exducer with X induced inlet. I have never had the cover off to measure it. Mike did say this wheel was "rated" at somewhere around 47lbs a min

Interesting, sorry I can't exactly tell for the graph but what is the maximum PSI that you ran with the white? Just curious because I have a HTA71 and i'm running 25PSI, I'm going to do injectors and see where I can get because I was on stock injectors last time I got tuned.

Sweet!

I'm considering going to this smaller turbo from a hta-grn.

Im glad to see other people making this turbo shine.
