Evo 8 2.4L FP Black S3 cams E85 660whp

This car had a very bad bottleneck setup when I first got it and I told the owner what to do and he gained over 50WHP+ from listening to me.

Mods are:

2.4L cp pistons / carillo rods
Map stage 3 Ported head with 1mm ferrera oversized valves
GSC S3 cams
Megan 3in downpipe
3in E cutout testpipe
3in perrin catback
Map short runner manifold
Map rev3 intake manifold /w 65mm TB
Jmf 02 dump
DBB FP Black
ETS 3.8" Garrett core FMIC
Grimmspeed 3 port
Tial Q BOV
Fic 1450cc injectors
BR double pumper
TSComp 4" SD Intake + filter
Tephra v7 SD /w ecuboost

Boost touches 37psi mid range and holds 35psi uptop. Where Peak HP is achieved it is at 35.4psi.

This cars still on unported stock throttle body and intake manifold, so there's more in this car.

That powerband though... Tom is there any reason you tend to keep your E85 tunes relatively rich?

This powerband is sick and must be a blast on the street. Also interested in what the bottleneck was.

Impressive results Tom. But I'm still astonished how fantrman made similar or even more power on a 2.3, unported head, and GSC S2 cams.

Ya I told him to do a pull starting earlier in the RPM. Should have that shortly hopefully!

It was the FMIC and i forget what else. I tune to many cars i cant remember honestly. But I know it was the FMIC for sure, because I remember selling him the custom ETS Garrett core FMIC.

He wrote me a review here i dont know if he listed the restrictions there or not: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ve...mer-3-yrs.html

This car has a brutal torque curve for a fp black setup.

Tom's car is very strong! I am tuning it on 93 and will share those #'s soon.

Hey guys...the restriction was the muffler of my original catback exhaust system.

On Tom's suggestion, I got a new catback(Perrin) and things resumed from there.

Thanks. What catback did you have on the car prior?

It was a generic 3" catback with a 2.5" muffler welded on the rear...

Tom, I also have a MAP REV3 and TB on the car already...it was the last batch of parts installed on the car...

Ok but im almost positive it was the FMIC also right? I remember selling you the FMIC! And your friend one also!

I will update the mod list i did not know it had the map rev3. please put this car on a dynojet. I promise you that you will come home with a 700WHP+ graph. If not, then very close to it!

Yup also the FMIC!

The car is a blast to drive and just flies.

Within a few weeks Ill put it on the dyno and see the results. I started to DD the car and have been taking it grocery shopping/gym ..regular errands and it drives great!
