very low cylinder pressures.

Or o-ring and run 50psi+ high compression...

Don't run more then 30 PSI or make more then 525-550whp from my PERSONAL experience.

i feel you. I had to switch to C16 to have enough fuel; too much rush to work out a fuel system. Now after a couple tanks of C16, I realize I could have bought a fuel system for what VP costs these days

Install a inline bosch 044 under the hood on a hobbs switch and call it good.

We shall see soon! I am swapping my whole setup into a new car and installing a new clutch to hold the power so I can turn it up.

Did you get the fuel system upgraded? Do you still use the stock lines or did you already upgrade?

My old 2.4 started pushing coolant at around 34 psi on the first test pass. The new block I just put in the car is o-ringed and no problems at all.

stock hardlines and stock fuel rail.. I think an aftermarket rail might help a little im not sure tho.

Adam arent you stock bore? 86.5mm? Steve is 87mm .020 over. I have some high HP cars with no orings on standard bore with no issues with over 2K+ no issues (using OEM modified HG).

87mm i think for sure needs orings for lots of boost. Sad thing is most the blocks cant clean up good without a .020 over because they are so old and high mileage. Or had failures before.

Yes I lucked out and got a perfect block. As you may know I have the original Crank and rod/main bearings in the car. Just honed and rings fitted and off to the races! Hahaha.

WOW WTF! It still has the original bearings? that's nuts! you definitely found a gem.

I think if you switched to a Cometic or cosworth HG you wont have issues since you're on a stock bore.

It seems 87mm is where it gets hairy. Damn I wish mine was a stock bore. I havent had issues yet but i only had 300 miles on it.

Me and Steves are both 87mm bores

I am going to be running a similar setup in my car, Can't wait to see the outcome. Plan on getting the new 6870 gen 2 when it's released.

I run 35psi on my 2.4L 10:1 built by me on EF4. Only fuel upgrades is Walbro 450 hard wired and 2150cc. I use comedic hg on stock bore and haven't had any issues with pushing coolant.....yet. Lol. Numbers were around 650/540.
