HI guys, it's been a while since we've last posted an update regarding one of our shop Evos. Last wk we took the car to the track for the first time since the dyno results of 1,038 whp and managed to run 9.43 @ 162mph !!

First and foremost, we would like to give all the Glory to God--which is thru Him--all things are possible.

This was the first and only pass we could run since by the second attempt the clutch failed on us and we wouldn't sacrifice another launch just for fun... As you may see on the video and picture, the launch, tire marks and 162 mph pass are living proof that an 8 sec pass is imminent. We are upgrading the tire setup and final tweaks in order to head back as quickly as we can.

new intelligence surfaces on the race empire evo, still no confirmation on engine and turbo setup however 9.43 suggests a large turbine likely ball bearing front facing possibly

 

E85, C16, 260? Turbo? Engine work done? Anything?

 

E16, no turbo, its twin supercharged, and no engine work done, internally stock.

 

Why does the track slip say Dec 31st 11:59:99pm and the video was taken during daylight hours? This video was just published on May 3rd... Ticket says December, it's already May dude.

Not hating, just asking for some clarity here.

 

I trapped 163 mph with 227 less whp. Just saying.

 

Their 1,038 whp was on a DJ.

Being a tire swap away from 8s is a lofty goal..if you were in the 9.2 range I could see that possible. Quality camcorders are your friends at the track.

I wasn't trying to defend them. I made an observation but didn't want to clarify what I meant in my post so I wouldn't sound like a smartass.

 

What tires were you using on that run?
