BOOSTED TUNING Custom Remote Tune - EVO 9/EF 2.5 on 91oct and E85

Evo IX

MAP EF 2.5 Turbo
Greddy Easy Cams
FIC 1050s
3" TBE

Tuned this car for a long time client. Made good power on 91oct and E85. 91oct tuned was left conservative, as the client tracks this car. We turned the boost up a lil more on E85, and made about 495ish, but the AFRs went to lean because the single pump couldn't hang.

looks great!

How do the "easy cams" compare to S2s?

I love the shape of those graphs! Look how flat the tq is between 4500 and 7000 And the power just keeps going and going, that's awesome!

The e85 run looks like it hit 28#, correct? Which wastegate is on the turbo?

Tunah- The Greddy easy cams are pretty mild. IIRC they are pretty comparable to HKS272's. The S2's should make more power mid and up top but may give up a little down low.

Gotcha. Im hoping to break 400 without much effort (on 91). Assuming I can get the tune dialed in, this supports that goal. So far, at 4 psi less, Ive lost nothing down low.

Jay,
Was the shape of the spool up on 91 about the same as the E85? 20psi @ 3750?

You just swapped in S2's paired with an HTA71, correct?

I'm still getting my tune dialed in as I swapped out my HKS 272's in favor S2's a few weeks back. I didnt notice any loss down low but my butt dyno may need to be re calibrated.

I'm just trying to figure out how to get my charts to have a similar shape. I'm out of WGDC so I think my wastegate for my BBK Full is holding me back.

Im guessing this was tuned with a 3-port but Im curious as to which wastegate was used?

S2s are way bigger then the Easy Cams

Dont have boost data for the 91oct tune, but it made 390ish, with 25psi tapering to 22-23 (read via gauge by client)

Car had a MBC on it, but we are now retuning it for a 3port, to help with the map switching.

And yes, this car is stock block. And one of the cylinders is low on compression. Client is building the motor soon.
